Hey guys, just a really quick question, my brother has an oldish mac he wants to sell off and I need a mac to play out on, purely for Torq + ableton. Torq is only running two songs at once, whilst ableton is only running a few effects with a usb controller attached. Oh also Torq obviously has it's own audio interface that will be attached. When I finally get to play out I'll be buying Serato because Torq is JUST a little unpredictable after long periods of time on a PC. Not sure about a mac tho.

I think the mac is a 1.66ghz dual core with a gig of ram. I know for xp or vista that wouldn't really be enough, or it would be pushing it, not to sure about a mac tho. Haven't used them since uni a few years back.

Thoughts?

Intel Mac or older one?

Torq isn't supposed to run well on the older ones, I've made it work on my old Mac before. But now it doesn't seem to work...

fair enough. I think I'll find an intel based one, his one is as far as i'm aware but just in case.

I did the right thing and just searched on the ableton forum and M-audio's. lol
