Creating A Video for Bigscreen

Heyya.

I done abit of searching the net to no successful avail, so i thought id ask here.
Basically what im after is..

On the 30th ive got access to a big screen / dvd projector.
and what i want to make is a looping dvd that is basically video visualised.
Lasers ect, and cool effects that will be displayed on the big screen, maybe even flash my dj name every now and then on the dvd.

What program would i be best to use to achieve this? and where can i get it?

If you can connect your computer's visual output to this massive screen, just use winamp's visualisation (milkdrop, available for all platforms). That thing is mega crazy and it animates in real time to the music you're playing.

fuk yeah. i don't know if it's coincidence or what but when i installed my 512 graphics card on the pc, pretty much the next time i turned on winamp with the visuals on i couldn't believe the visuals it was now putting out. Is it just where winamps at these days? Or did the 512 graphics card have an influence on this? I too would love to know how can i put up the winamp visuals up on a wall at a party. Awesome.

Trying to work out the thing with custom messages, doesnt seem to work properly lol

hey mate if you cant get text to go over it i'd reccomend looking at either VJ software or theres a visualization called Whitecap which if u get the commercial version u can chuck text over, theres also one called G-force by the same people
