hi all,
firstly, does anyone know what is the very latest version of Traktor Scratch? (not TS Pro).

Im running version 1.3.1.050. Is that the latest version? I cant get my Service Centre to work, all it does is want to install updates of itself every time i open it

Also, ive had a chat to Darren and Factory Sound, and he says that if i were to buy an old of Traktor 3 DJ Studio (or whatever it's called, the older version that doesnt ship with a sound card), if i already owned Traktor Scratch (and therefore the Audio 8 DJ), i can run up to four decks through Traktor in scratch mode (so with either control CDs or vinyl control). Apparently Traktor 3 recognises that i already have a copy of TS and the Audio 8 DJ installed, so it will enable this feature.

is that right? is Traktor 3 just like TS? Or am i in for some nasty surprises?

PS im not updating to TS Pro because it requires ore CPU power. As far as i can tell, the only main differences between TS/Traktor 3 & TSP is that TSP has more effects. Does Traktor 3 have sync? surely it does, running 4 decks without any sync would be tough (im not Carl Cox after all)

cheeers : )

Think your best asking these questions at NI's forums

no way, no one answers anything there. EVER.

someone here must know. maybe ill just go back and pick Darrens brains a bit more. and make him PROMISE it works how he says it does (i think he said he's got them both running at home like that).

I cant afford to spend the $200 or so and not have it work... slowly dwindling down to my last cent (and no sign of Rudd's funny money!)

If your worried about the extra cpu power of TSP then I would say forget running 4 decks as that is going to put more load on your cpu than running 2

ok, found out that if you already own TS, you can use Traktor DJ Studio 3.4 and use the scratch mode on 3 or 4 decks.

traktor 3.4 also seems to use less CPU grunt than TS
