currently have a djm600...looking at vestax, rane, ecler or a pioneer djm400

rane ttm56's are pretty reasonably priced and an excellent scratch mixer.

+1 on a more serious note

so are Rane's empath mixers if you want a mixer that is more diverse (+ an extra channel). i love mine, best money i've spent all year.
