Okay so ive hooked it all up, now to put stuff from my laptop i have to slide it wayyy to the right of my actual monitor in order to have it showing on the bigscreen.
Does anyone know how to, for example.. while im typing this on ITM, have it showing on the bigscreen while im doing it..

reason i ask is.. I want to have the FULLSCREEN visual effects off winamp on the entire bigscreen, and i cant do it at the moment because as soon as i click maximize/fullscreen, it goes back to my laptop and exits the bigscreen.

Any helpppppppppp Thankssssss :)

try right clicking on the visualisation and set as desktop background
Theoretically it should set two individual backgrounds for both your monitor and the big screen, however it MAY just do it on the primary display, or the secondary, or neither. If that doesn't do it, google for winamp visualisations and an external/secondary monitor (I'm not doing the work for you).

Don't forget, to get the sound from your mixer to go with your winamp visualisations, connect an output on the mixer (either booth or tape) to the Line In on your comp and then Open URL in winamp and type "linein:///" (without the quotes). This will get winamp to open the stream from your line in port and do the visualisations accordingly. If you're using the booth output on your mixer make sure you have to booth volume up loud enough (about 3/4 volume should be enough).

EDIT: Getting your display to only show on the big screen can be accessed in Control Panel/Right clicking the Desktop -> Display Settings

Hey,

Im not interested in sound, i just want to loop a song and have the visuals on the bigscreen.
Basically what happens is.. i can move winamp over to the bigscreen by moving it off this monitor and taking it about 30cm over there----------------------->
but as soon as i click the mouse moving around on the bigscreen to bring in fullscreen, it brings the fullscreen image back to the laptop and takes the bigscreen back to the desktop image (that has no icons on it for some reason)
Ive tried changing the visuals sizing and just doing it that way, but it still shows the top part with all of the artist/playlist info.
Ive been researching what to do on google for the last 3hrs but cant seem to get an answer..
its probably something so simple, but i just cant seem to put a finger on it.

With my graphics card (Nvidia) there is a setting called "modify full-screen video options". For example I have my TV set to show fullscreen video, so when a windowed video is played on my computer monitor, it will be fullscreen on my tv.

Fn + F4? (or whatever it is?) - is the external screen set to be the primary? Posting this is CP&G would make a lot more sense.
