Hi, currently using my laptop microphone in for recording, however it is much to sensitive and i think I need a USB line in, but I have no idea where to get one. I have tried Jaytech (electronics store), and had a look at a few of the online dj stores but can't quite find what im looking for.

Anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you

Chris

yeah instead of plugging into the mic, why don't you try line-in? might save yourself the 60 bucks.

Would agree with Bracko,
I bought a UCA202 and I find the recorded sound to be quite low quality. Bass doesn't reproduce properly and sounds somewhat 'raspy'. It's my suspicion (not 100% sure) that it is due to the fact that the UCA202 is a 16bit soundcard (less data capture). I'd recommend spending a bit more on a higher quality soundcard. I'm getting sick of listening to my demos which don't sound anywhere near as crisp as the originals, whereas everyone else is reproducing near original sound :meh: .

Cheers for the advice, and it may well be worth spending slightly more because quality is something i do want. However I could also spend some money on a ~15m cord to my desktop which has a decent sound card. Decisions.

It is for my laptop, which only had a mic in
