I've got a bit of a dilemma. I want another CDJ. At the moment, I only have one which is a CDJ1000MK3. I can't afford much for a CDJ as it is, so a 200 is within reach but I'm not sure if I'd be happy with that and a 1000. I also have the option of selling my 1000mk3 and buying two cdj800's. I do play out every so often so having the 1000 is a plus, but I barely use it as is because I prefer to use my turntables. However if I had had two CDJ's that may be different.

So confused! :o

Here's a bit more info; To end up with a CDJ200 and a CDJ1000MK3, I just have to go buy the 200.

To end up with two 800's I'll have to first sell the 1000mk3 then go buy the 800's.

I'm leaning towards the 200...what would you do?

If it's those options only i'd go for the 800s. I quite like the 800s, you can have a lot of fun chopping up loops with the auto loop feature. They're pretty close to the 1000s in terms of features and build and I'd much rather two matching CD players instead of trying to plan when u need to play a certain tune to use Feature A on deck 2 etc.

there's nothing wrong with unmatched cd players.

it depends how you use them though. if you load hit play and beatmatch then fine, get a 200.

if your dirty fingers never leave the sample/loop and hot cue buttons, plus you save your cues to SD cards (ie actually use the features on a CDJ 1000) then you have a bigger problem to consider.

I mainly just cue, beatmatch, mix. most of my fancy fingerwork is on my mixer.

THIS IS A VERY HARD DECISION.

might see and try to afford a single 800...Anyone wanna buy an AXIOM 25? :P

so you're not looking for help, you're looking for someone to validate the opinion you already have.

definitely go with the 2x 800's
i've got them and they're great...jog wheel's almost identical to the 1000, and even though it doesnt have as many features as the 1000, its still a great piece of equipment!

I know what I want to do, I'm getting other opinions.

Why don't you finance a CDJ1000 through StoreDJ? They just opened a store in Brisbane, you know? ;)

Use the cash that you were going to spend on the CDJ200, as a deposit for the CDJ1000.

I financed some equipment through them. You pay 25% deposit, and you can work the repayments monthly or fortnightly.

That's what I'd do! ;)

(Your deposit would be $424.75.)
