The advantages of XBox with an evolution chip.

-Replace the main dashboard with Evolution X (custom graphics , application launcher etc)
-Replace the HD with up to 120gB
-Install Homebrew apps, ie. DivX drivers, VCD drivers, Mp3 drivers, Commodore 64, Nintendo, SNES, Gameboy, Sega, Amiga emulators with all the games you could possibly want to play all on the Xbox HD.
-dump original games to the HD, play from HD, Dump them onto your home network (view systemlink) burn to DVD-R.
-Replace the DVD-rom with a faster one.

ms have apparently changed the design of the xbox so that current chips won't work. just like sony did with playstations - bring out a new version.

pretty pointless tho - they'll never stop chips from being made that work :)

Put the Matrix chip with the EVO2.5 bios into my xbox last night, all is well ...

Now just having a look at the evolutionX stuff ...

Will upgrade the harddrive in a few weeks ...

Got a chipped xbox yesterday, now I just have to get a bigger hard drive. Can only store a few games and dvds on there at the moment, along with Doom, Game Boy Advance Emulator, Xbox media player, Quake 2, MameX, dvdx and heaps of other shit. My 3 mates have got modified xboxes as well so we're getting some mad networking going...Going to get every game from every video store in Canberra on games club until we've got them all...this is soooo sweet, the possibilities are endless....
