Dude i think you need to read over the manual a little bit more, or at all...
Make sure the settings on the audio4 driver are setup properly...
Make sure you have run the timecode auto setup (help menu?)...
to summarise RTFM...

Read the manual, it's not very complicated. Took me 2 minutes to set up first go.
1. Decks -> RCA In
2. Mixer Line-outs -> Line jacks in mixer.
3. USB Soundcard -> Computer
4. Start traktor
5. Should all auto sync up, if not then select the proper audio card from the settings menu.

Ahhhh, the good old post-night-out forum visit!
Surprised you were able to construct a response, at that hour.
The screen becomes difficult to read, along with the overwhelming sense of satisfaction with life, however temporary that may be! :P

On the note of Traktor Scratch (Pro and Duo), I couldn't help but notice the presence of a "sync" button. I'm assuming that it is what I think it is (that is, a "cheat" button, if you like) however; I'm wondering just how accurate it is?
Back in 2002 when I gained a love for DJ'ing, through an application called "AtomixMP3", now called Virtual DJ, I became very familiar with the space bar (i.e. the "auto beat mix button"). It seemed fantastic when I first started however; didn't help my progression into vinyl mixing at all.
Listening back to old mixes, as well as mixes completed by others using Virtual DJ, even though the "auto beat mix" function is used, the algorithm used seems less than ideal. That is, the beats often slip, or you get a "popping sound". In any case, there is a noticeable loss in sound quality, in contrast to mixing on turntables / CDJs etc.
So how does the Traktor algorithm hold up? I sincerely hope it's not the "real deal", as it's going to make the battle against newbie DJs even more difficult, particular if they're nailing sweet, flawlessly beatmatched mixes, through means of a "sync" button!

almost perfect, if your tracks are beatgridded well :)
Obviously going jumping a large BPM distance is not going to go well...
But yea, sync button is ubergay, for mobile and lazy djs....

I openly admit to using sync to line up loops etc, however unlike many people I don't use sync alone
I'll match up the bpm perfectly as though I am manually mixing and then just use the sync button make sure the loop or cue drops perfectly then turn it off again
allows me to concentrate on others things, and not worry about missing a loop by 16th or whatever

SYNC button is 1 of 2 things, ON or OFF, you either USE it, or you DONT
you.... USE it...
:haha:

I must admit, I'm a little disappointed to hear that it's accurate.
Soon enough we'll see more of the same! :-(
Noob DJ + Two months "experience" + Beatport Top 10s + Traktor "sync" + Mixed In Key = A severely cheapened DJ scene

^:lol:
Maybe for the 'mainstream' clubs.... but your average half decent venue wont put these kids on :D
how so? its not like they'll get any gigs at respectable venues.

Maybe not in Brisbane! :P
It wont impact any where near as much as the cdj did with turntables

Well if you have ruby or rose in your name.... you might be right.

So true

except the ability to sync via algorithm has been around for a long time.
I thought the scene was already cheapened, and it had nothing to do with traktor or mixed in key.
