look for the genres without hard prefixes, generally the sound quality will be much better

har har har... clueless fuckwits all around! "OH but this is ITM, we TROLL everything here!" Loser. Some of the most well produced EDM around is Industrial Hardcore...
Also to the OP: It's HARDSTYLE and there's a thread in T/HD forum, check it out there.

But yeah this thread has no further purpose really.

Do you even know what good production is? That has to be one of the most basic synths I've ever heard...
And yeah, sarcasm is pretty fail.
It still shits me up the wall that everybody on ITM feels as if they have to prove something to the world by acting like douche bags.

I'm deadly serious. TOA consists of two of the most talented artists in the EDM genre. Just because you probably don't like the style, doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. IE: the whole point of my rant in this thread towards the haters, just fuck off if you have nothing nice to say. The world would be boring if everybody liked the same thing.

Hey Elkc,
Just to clarify, do you feel that the actual sound quality coming out of your speakers is not what it should be? Or are you expressing disappointment about the tracks that you are mixing?
Grizzzly mentioned speakers. What are you using at the moment?

I definately think that hardstyle and othr hard dance genres have their merits, even if only a small percentage of people actually can appreciate them. I'm not heaps into it these days, but I still love going to the Q-dance events and listening to old zany cds...
Derelict, please dont take macca to heart... shit stirring and hardstyle go hand in hand, and you only help to perpetuate this by getting shirty and whatnot. Be happy with what you get out the harder styles, and feel sorry for those who dont get it :thumb:

derelict is talking about industrial hardcore, not hardstyle. but yeah, we know that shit stirring goes hand in hand with hardstyle, we cop it all the time, it just gets old after while, especially when the people stirring shit generally have no clue what they are talking about or are basing their opinions on one shitty track that they heard which even we would think is rubbish :P
threadstarter needs to come back and tell us what speakers he is using and what tracks he is listening to, i'm way too curious about this now.

Hmmm, that's interesting, the Hard Dance music from (for example) Holland is usually very well produced and pressing plants over there are quite good. Blunt, are you sure you've got the EQs on your mixer around 12 or 1 o'clock? I've got a more basic(errrrr) setup then you, and I've never really had a "blunt sound" although some tracks have been purposely made like that, have you properly checked the sound setup of all your equipment?

Firstly, i will assume you have speakers.
Secondly, if you are struggling with this set up then you need to practice more. and more and more and more. imo the equipment you have should make the hardstyle fans reach for lazorz already.
