Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever sold decks to cash convertors. Would you get a fair price do ya reckon or is it safe to say you'd get a few more bucks selling on ebay etc...
Thanks

Cash converters are blood suckers - buy from people for next to nothing - sell for about the same price as ebay.
Their money lending business is basically extortion - I work in lending and if we ever see anyone who has used cash converters we know they're fkn desperate.

^what he said.
I've seen mixers in Cash Converters that are higher priced than the RRP at storeDJ!!!
But you can cut a deal on anything if you have the cash...
i got a tonium pacemaker for $550 when they were $750 in stores... :D

Yeah I kinda figured as much,
The decks are in great nick, sl1200's but I can't post in the buy and sell on INTHEMIX as I haven't been on the forum long enough. It's a proverbial pain in the ass! I have try'd e-bay and Ive gotten a few interested but no cash as yet... This seems to be one of the few sites where deals are struck up people keep their word!
So was just tempted to rock into a pawn shop LOL.

Cash converters generally offer you 1/4 of the retail price if the item is in good nick. Bloodsuckers.

Honestly, if you cant sell sh*t on ebay your doing something wrong.
1. Make sure you have a decent honest photo
2. Make sure you some wording that explains what you have, but doesnt sound like a sales pitch.
3. Make sure you put that they will pay for postage, only a small percentage of stuff ever gets picked up.
4. Use paypal, it works.
I have sold, an electribe, a CDJ1000, a few other things with no worries, all within a week.
also, make sure you post it the next day after payment, you would want the same right?

I know someone that picked up an MPC for 150 bucks at cash converters as it had no power supply and they didn't really know what it was.....then again this was about 10 years ago before DJ / Producing culture was uber cool

I'd never sell to them, usually only people that do are those that need / want quick on the spot cash - bought my old yamaha amp from them over 10 years ago though $120 and it still works great :thumb:

The best you could get off them is half the value that they think they can sell the item for...at a guess, I'd say $300 per deck, tops!

I once sold a 120cm tall Simba Lion king plush on ebay for $100. My description said pick up or local delivery only, and some douche bag from Perth won the Auction :X Ended up giving it to the Salvos and gave that twat negative reputation.

Dont even bother with Cash Converters. They're a bunch of criminals.
If you dont want to go through Ebay for what ever reason, try advertising them on gumtree.com.au its a free classifieds website with "Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane ect" specified sites.

What he said!
Gumtree means you can easily find locals who'll pick up which will put your mind at ease and they get the whole "try before you buy" nonsense.
Ebay will get you a higher return in interest but you should be prepared to pay for postage or shipping.
Best outcome will be about 75% what you're hoping for at best with gumtree but maybe higher with ebay.
At least with ITM you'll get people who know the true value of what you're selling, so you'll get the fairest price. People don't care how long you've been posting if you're being honest and don't take the piss. Get a few pictures of the actual unit, give a description of any damage and you'll have it sold in 24 hours.
