thoughts?
i reckon it looks wicked, but somewhat complicated... sweet for dropping samples/accapellas, but would be hard work performing solo
not necessarily, but i wonder how many DJs perform live?

Ditto, just got the beta version.
I'll hook this up at some stage this week and see what I can come up with.
THinking a good stutter funk/hip hop set will be in the making. hmmmm ideas!

Been messing with it for just over a week now, fuckin great. Apc40 on the side is def the only way to roll!

Yeah, thinking having a trigger pad is the only way around this.
Looks like the stanton SCS 3D is going to get a new playmate shortly.

I just purchased Ableton Live (from Live Intro), and I'm keen to sink my teeth into this.
Is it worthwhile without an APC40. or the other controller, (which I think is Akai, and looks similar without the faders)?
I might download and have a whirl anyway.
How does it work, in terms of synchronising your Ableton loops with your tunes in Serato? Do you have to use the "bend" function in Ableton?

Ahhh, was thinking about the Novation Launchpad.
Anyway, is it worth it just using the mouse?
hmm i would assume then serato is the master, and ableton is the one that always just keeps in sync with serato. i wonder!

I'd hope so.

just as i figured - setrato controls ableton's tempo.
neat idea though don't you think? lauching extra samples, loops and extra things made easy. almost as easy as playing on 3 CDJs :P

Sorry for the bump here!
Just thought that I'd contribute that I just finished playing my first bar / club gig, using The Bridge to assist.
All worked well. Played a standard Serato set, and used "The Bridge" to play Ableton loops.
Only used my Akai LPD-8 to control the volume of the Ableton channels, everything else was done using the MacBook Pro.
I'm pretty happy with the result. I think I'll buy the Novation Launchpad very, very soon! ;)

I've only fooled around with it for a few of hours but so far that's all I can seem to get out of it without upgrading my mixer.
It's cool but it's nothing that couldn't be done with the SP-6, and doing it that way uses much less processing power.
Although I only use midi when I can be fucked mapping the electribe so I'm not sure if the sampler has midi yet, it didn't last time I hooked my shit up, so that's one advantage.
I feel like I'm missing a bunch of potential with it though, definitely want to spend some more time with it.

Has anyone else had any issues with the bridge randomly not showing up after authorising it?
I've reinstalled the latest updates for serato and live three separate times now as the bridge keeps disappearing..weird shit

Doesn't seem like anyone on here experienced this but If the did I found a fix at serato, large ups Brendan :thumb:
Close all programs.
Trash the files "com.ableton.live.plist" and "com.serato.scratchlive.plist" from the following folder:
Macintosh HD:/users/[your username]/library/preferences/
NOTE: do NOT use Finder's search function to find these files. The search index of OS X does not keep track of any files which are located inside the library folders, so you won't find them. Please navigate to these files manually by following the exact paths.
