Real Audio stream to Cassette?

Is this possible guys?

I wanna hook up the pc to the hi fi so i can record a real audio stream on tape.

easy as fuck

you'll need a cord to suit your hifi tho... usually 3.5mm stereo plug to 2x RCA plugs...

chuck the 3.5mm plug into your speaker out on your soundcard, chuck the RCAs into aux in or cd in or whatever INS you have (just not phono, you'll blow something up)

set your PC's volume to minimum. Play an mp3 (for a test sound) set your stereo's volume to where it would be for normal listening level, then bring your PC's volume up to suit.

most stereos with an aux in or cd in can record from that source, sometimes its automatic, sometimes you have to manually select your recording source.
