Anyone play The SIMS ?

OK ! I'm adicted to the PC game called The SIMS. Now they have put it online, but I can't seem to login no matter how hard I try. Anyone of you guys and girls already there playing away ?
How do I join in ?

I think you might just be onto something there. Not an expansion pack, but a 2 CD kit from the US. It's only $10 so I'm off to get playing.

i got hooked on that at one point, its a dangerous game...addicitive as!! :D

i used to take away the doors while the family was in the house and only give them flameable shit to play with
sometime they starved to death but most of the time they burnt the house down with them in it.

I thought I was the only sicko doing stuff like that.
I don't give them phones and watch them loose the plot from no social interaction. They get carted off to a mental hospital eventually.
It's also fun to have one household member standing by the bar. Ever seen an alcholic Sim. They're rude little buggers !

I think they really could have exploited that side of the game more. I wanted to be able to buy a gun rack for my (single, male, ugly) sims house, and copies of soldier of fortune magazine for his coffee table, then give him a job at the postal service so he'd eventually go mad and try to shoot all the neighbours. I also though that the option to buy a vicious dog wouldve been good too.

it gets pretty boring after u play it for a while.

the hot date addon re-kindled my interest for a little bit coz u could go downtown & pick up, but even that didnt last long.

they need to re-write the whole game & call it "The Sims 2" or something. have a fully rotational 3D environment. maybe drive cars n stuff, actually be able to see them at work and control them at work, & even do other normal things like cross the street.

Edit: i just had a cool idea - have the ability to go into 1st person view & control a sim. The sims ala quake (weapons optional)

i always think up ideas for games that have so much detail they'd take about 10 years to make :p

hey dude,
Yeah I'd love a game thats just a virtual world, exactly like owe own. So you can go and do shit that you normally wouldn't do in real life, but you don't have to deal with the consequences, or end up hurting anyone.

So you can become a criminal, and if you get busted or die, just reset it.....YAY!!;D ;D

hehe... i always get a kick out of making my sim have like five affairs at the same time - then let em get busted.

speaking of cheats etc. - has anyone downloaded the naked crack (to get rid of the censored rude bits)? they all look like barbie / ken dolls...
