im usin pcdj at the moment and i wanna use my headphones for monitoring so i bought this plug ..it goes in the comp and has 2 stereo outputs where u put ya speakers in one and headphones in the other...but since its stereo i dont think they r seperate sources......did i buy the wrong plug?...or can u buy a plug which converts stereo to mono?

i'm not 100% sure but i think you need something like a stereo splitter. 1/8" stereo male to twin mono 1/8" female adaptor. so basically when ya use that mp3 mixing program, you set ya main sound to ya left channel and your monitoring on ya right. clear as mud?

culprit, the item you bought doesnt split stereo - it just duplicates it...

the setup you need for PCDJ (monitor on left, speakers on right) is a custom made item

|-----(right channel)--->L+R stereo socket (speakers)


in both sockets, ground goes to ground, and the "input" channel goes to both the "output" channels - so you get the same signal coming thru both left and right on the socket

clear as mud? hehehe

i'm using PCDJ red and use two sound cards, one shitty one for monitoring. if possible this would be better for you.
