Sometimes its just the little things that make you realise you really do love someone. Not the big kisses, yummy hugs, caresses etc but just little things that happen that make you reflect on that person in your life and how you have a deep and beautiful fondness and feeling for them. We all would have different things that lead to that realisation but I'm sure there are some in common too. :)
Mine are:
Feeling grateful when I watch her smile when she's asleep.
When she saves a moth in the bath from drowning.
When she helps her 89 year old grandmother put her shoes on.
When she always makes sure I have a drink when DJing at parties. Looking after me.
When I miss her at work on a Monday morning when we've spent the whole weekend away together.
what about you?

you lay your eyes on them.
its called love at first sight and it does exist. its the best kind of love.
better than growing to love somebody, though thats nice also. thats when you cant imagine not wanting to do anything that would make them happy. in my experience, with that sort of love.. its ephemeral, you get over it.

* When you're both out together at a party or with friends and you look at each other, but it's a look no one will understand, just you two.
*When he reminds me to check the oil in my car
*He does all my washing
*How he always tells me to put a jumper/jacket on when we leave the club

When you feel their arms around you at night
When you wake up in the morning to a cup of tea
When you know you will get up at 5.30 and drive them to work and it there are no complaints, you are just happy you could spend the night with them.

Lurve its the little things alright, and god damn I have to laugh or there's no love
Spitch i do understand, i've been there a few times myself.
My own concession to this little lurve-fest would have to be the moment I was indulging in a gratituous PDA in Hyde Park with the significant other of the time, and all of a sudden the thought hit me... "Oh my gawd, I've become the people I hate".

what's lurve got to do...got to do with it?
:? :? :?
When he wakes up early to walk me to the bus stop only to turn around and come home again once I have gotten on the bus.
When I wake up on the weekend and he is just watching me sleep... (no wonder I woke up... but anyway!).
We can spend the whole night on seperate sides of a party and still be talking about each other (our poor friends).
He eats the crusts off my toast. He says that its the most filling part.
I will stop there... but the list is endless!!! (I love you Mr Kermee!).

Bitter? Who you calling bitter?!:p
Yep the little things definately make a difference, as long as it keeps happening from both sides. Sometimes u need to take off the rose glasses to see if it aint though...
I believe an important part of a relationship is being allowed to be yourself and not having to depend on and be with the other person 24/7. I've seen so many of my mates be absorbed into r/ships and change into clingy, needy types - to the extent that one wasn't without the other anytime! Damn irritating, and caused a few fallouts...
On top of that, there are many different levels of love. Just because you aren't IN LOVE with the other person, doesn't mean you don't LOVE them any less. Often I've found it's the opposite, but maybe that's just me.

Having the biggest smile on my face when I watch him sleeping, thinking that im the luckiest girl alive
Just driving together in the car, not having to say anything, just totally enjoying each others company
When your hands manage to find eachothers to hold in the middle of the night when you are half asleep, and your feet touch just so you can be close but without cuddling
Driving and catching the train back and forth from Sydney to Newcastle for nearly the past 6 and a half months
Just having this constant feeling that no matter what, everything is going to be ok
as kermee said, i could go on forever as well

You know you’re in love when:
You get food poisoning and throw up violently for hours and hours through the night and he’s there pulling your hair back, rubbing your back, cleaning up when you miss/don’t make it to the toilet/bucket/sink, kissing your neck to calm you down, bringing you water between spews and lets you use his toothbrush because you didn’t bring yours
When the thought of not being in complete partnership with the other person never enters your mind – ie. both of you ride the good times, the bad times, the healthy times and the unhealthy times together and the thought of doing it as “I” rather than “we” never occurs to either one of you. In some strange and contradictory way, both of you still have a sense of self (you’re still a person in your own right), and both of you feel free to pursue your own goals, interests and dreams.
If that’s not being in love, I don’t know what is.

HoG, just have to say....I think you might be expecting too much... you seem to expect perfection, and with those sort of expectations you're bound to be disappointed.
Real love, well my experience of it anyway, has less to do with expectations and ideals, and more to do with accepting the other person for who they are, flaws and all.

When i get my "morning mwah's"...an sms i get every morning on the train to tell me how much he loves me and misses me
The 15 minutes we spend before we go to sleep, lying in bed, wrapped in eachothers arms when "the world seems to fall into place" and i feel like theres nothing i couldn't conquer with his love and support.
When the clock at work hits 5pm and i rush out of here to get home, depserate to walk into our house and be enveloped in the biggest, most loving hug...depsite the fact that we spend every day of our lives together.
When we are driving to my parents in the country, and despite being a devout tekno and hip hop fan, he lets me take over the cd player to play my "closet music" and STILL loves me!
When we are bumming around at home and he calls my name and i go round the corner to find him sitting, with my gorgeous fluffy kitty all wrapped up in his arms.....and he has a huge smile on his face (the boy not the kitty, but the kitty is pretty happy too)
When im walking home from the station after work, and as i approach our apartment ( i can see it from a few hundred metres away) i can see him standing in the kitchen getting dinner ready.
When we are doing our own thing on the weekend and he calls me into the studio to show me some new "noises" he's made, with a huge grin on his face.
As the others have said, there are loads more...as well as the random moments where you're just overcome with love for the other person...*sigh*..ain't love grand!

-when you work together all day, live together and hang out together and you still get excted every time you see them!

-when they hear/see a piece of music/cinema and get all excited

Alternatively Miss Apple.
Just bekause you are single doesn't mean all the people in love should refrain from talking about it. That's what people do. Pregnant people talk about being pregnant. Sick people talk about being sick. Single people talk about being single. It's kalled sharing experiences and opinions which is basikally what ITM is here for.
Sorry to diss you twice this morning bekause klearly you are feeling at a low ebb. I hope you pick up.
I just felt like reminding you that love is a beautiful thing. Whether it be love for a friends, love far a partner, love for your family, love for your pets, (no jokes pleeze) or love for yourself. You may not be experiencing one type of love at the moment but look at that list and see if you have any of the others. If you do you are lucky bekause some people don't have any of those types of love.

One of the lightbulbs had died and I had gone into the bedroom and read it it's last rights saying " don't worry little fella you going to a better place now your gonna love it up in the big light in the sky" with a sad tone in my voice.
She dropped on the floor and started laughing, all my previous girlfriends would just look at me funny and think I was a weirdo. She is the female version of me and I love her so. We have so much fun together and can keep ourselves amused 24/7.
you know your in love when..
on the few occasions you can't stay together, just coming home from his place and just before I nod off he gives me a call saying he wishes I was there and sweet dreams, even tho we just said goodbye
you clean his bathroom
(see this is fairly huge for me because I have a allergic reaction to cleaning - especially messy cleaning like bathrooms!)

perhaps it's my sense of humour, but i noticed in a thread (can't remember which one) that someon referred to miss apple as mrs apple, considering all this hoohaa i find that very funny ;D
..and doesnt Bumpy and her fella look like such sweethearts, licking each others tounges an' all, in 3D world.

More than a feeling, That's the power of love.
Ok, up until this point I was feeling pretty tolerant of all the forum PDAing going on here...
But quoting Huey Lewis and the News is just fuckin' WRONG!!!
(useless piece of trivia for the morning; according to [URL=http://www.groupiecentral.com ] Huey Lewis has the biggest penis in rock. Maybe this explains why Gwyneth Paltrow decided to do that shitty duet with him?)

Feebs, please try not to think on a Sunday night hun.
You're much better off downing a bottle of scotch and going off on some half baked mission of lunacy that we can all have a good laugh about on Monday when you post it in the forums.
Cheers, Lamb
I know Lamb, I know. Sorry, it won't happen again.

When she insists on leaving the lids off EVERYTHING (esp toothpaste) and i go GRRRR but get over it real quick & still love her.
being amused when she falls asleep - she goes out within 5 mins & then twitches & carries on, occasionally waking herself up.

When you've just had an amazing 5star-silver service dinner provided by your sister (cus i am povo atm) whom manages the restaurant, and after dessert your girlfriend tries to 'mount' the bar in a position which offers her to syphon beer out from under the Hahn Premium Tap, It's a classy move, and spitch is right....it is the little things.

you know you've been in true love when, five years after breaking up, you are still just as close, but in a brother/sister way. you can tell each other absolutely everything and support each other through thick and thin, and know in your heart that you can take the friendship for granted, forever.
