Does anyone know of a reliable prog to convert mac audio to .wav?

I'm sick to death of asking mac users to convert before output for me (you know what mac users are like!!! X( ) to remix with.

i had the same problem a week ago. Download the full version of quicktime, register it and then it allows you to convert any mac av format into just about any pc av format.

simple really.

PM me if you need help finding anything.

I have three utils I use all the time outside of protools & logic.

soundapp does conversion and playback from snd resource, windows wave, aif, sdii, NeXT etc etc. it's shareware. it's my primary audio player for auditioning files. it does creator conversion to itself on the first play so you can double click to listen to any audio file. it does drag and drop play, and batch conversion. only in 8, 16 and 24 bits though

soundhack does all of these conversions, plus lots of processing including convolution. it also deals with NeXT format 32 bit floats. it's shareware as well.

prosoniq soundworx does loads of processing, plus conversion, but can't deal with 32bit floats. there's a stripped back 'free' version available on their web site. it can deal with broadcast waves.

Thanks for the help guys. Quicktime (legit copy) did the trick, although with a 56K modem, by the time it downloaded I was pretty smashed  :tripping:

Mrs Invoice (Taxine) not impressed, "What's all that banging around up there"
