View Full Version : Behringer MX series
I just picked up an MX1602 (very unusual) for a reasonable price and am so far very impressed by its professional quality and features. But there are two issues, first the front panel next to the peak meter is used as a heatsink for the power supply and gets quite toasty after a while. Second no-one seems to be able to tell me if it is safe to run my headphones straight of the "headphone/monitor" outputs.
Anyone ?

why would it not be safe to run headphones off the monitor outputs?
I have a few pieces of gear that get rather warm from use, a solution i use is to buy small fan-shaped heatsinks from jaycar or wherever and superglue them on. My laptop power supply has a big heatsink strapped to one side since it generates so much heat. I was actually concerned it being a hazard, cos it gets up to a good 70 degrees or so...

We use MX mixers all the time at work and they are bulletproof!!!......
I use one to play Live with and am very impressed with the feel of it and the reliability. The mixing quality and EQs are good too.
I wouldn't worry about it......
