Maybe www.fruityloops.com .....?!..... then click on the downloads link, then click on the new Downloads button underneath the one you just clicked on. Then download the manual in PDF fromat or DOC format.

ok well I guess you dont have any groovy VST instruments up your sleeve so I'll do a quick tut on making trance-style synth sounds with the 3xOsc

I'll be using version 3.55 but the 3xOsc is pretty much the same tho...

You could help me out by learning two things...

How to use the piano roll
How to find your way around fruity's windows...

Writing tutorials takes a fair while and it makes my job a little easier if I don't have to say "ok now click here to open the FX window" every 2 lines

I'm assuming you know how to put notes in the step sequencer, how to add FX and Instruments, and how to use the playlist/song function if you're reading my tutorials...

Cheers lads 8-)

yup no probs Phunk

3+ years of fruity madness - love it.

The thing I REALLY enjoy is the ability to tweak literally everything -in more than one way.

I am interested to read your tutorials and see any similarities between our fruity methods or pick up any golden hints I've overlooked or not figured out.

Obviously post a thread and If theres any extra advice on the topic myself or any other ITM'er can add we will gladly contribute.

:) :P :p

Just wondering how long it took u peeps to learn how to use fruity and be able to produce decent tune with it? The only other music package I have ever used before is ejay. I've read somewhere that a package called rebirth is very similar to fruity, would you say fruity is the better of the two??

rebirth is similar to fruity because of the step-programming system and the tweakability, but any other similarities stop there. they are quite different programs (rebirth is a 303 + 808 + 909 emulator while fruity is a vst studio)

I've been using fruityloops since the first version, only been using it seriously (when version 3 brought in VST support) for about a year, and I'd consider myself pretty much pro - I can get fruity to do pretty much anything.

Best thing you can do with fruityloops is to try to make your songs not sound like fruityloops... The default drums and the default TS404 presets are very obvious, so dont be afraid to change them and tweak em madly...

If anyone can offer me FTP-access web space I shall put a mini-drum-kit online of some very useful drumkit samples, and its only about 9 meg zipped up... :)
