Hey Hey all,

thanks to ITM's resident 'promo master' N4TE, I'm off to the DMC shop and studios for a lesson in how its REALLY done by the best deep house/proggy/techy/breaky mob on the planet.

Can't wait!

I'll take a camera and snap wildly on as much gear as I can, and hopefully the guys in action.

I want to make the visit worthwhile to YOU GUYS FIRST (the production forum) and this visit will be concentrating on the techniques and choices the guys have made re: Studio, and the way they produce their music.

My main interest will things such as what software they use, how they integrate the software/hardware aspects of the studio, what Hardware they use (music and CPU's), mixing desk, VST's etc.

Hopefully its a 'product name dropping session' for us all.

I want Gab's opinion on things like Fruity Vs Reason and Logic Vs CubaseSX, Mac Vs PC. Obviously these will all be opinions, but I cn assure you they are based around hours upon hours of hard testing (he has been around longer than many).

SO....

PLEASE PLEASE post any questions you want answered (specific or general) relating to anything DMC studio, zero tolerance, Gab Oliver or the mystery guest N4TE tells me will be in session when Im there....

so whatcha wanna know??

thanks guys, please help me by offering suggestions, the better we are (i know its ME, but I represent a WE remember!) , the stronger relationship will be between DMC and ITM. This can only be a good thing.

(P.S) I'm not interested in the DMC 'store' as such, thats why someone else will be going for different reasons.

Sean - cheers dude.

the track I saw was a midi bass note with some hellova effects on it.

They were very strong with compression - I'll try to find out more details about what efx they like for basses.

BTW the idea was these types of questions should be posted BEFORE I went!!!!!!!

no worries, we'll just send ya back for a follow up :)

Red, you really should get in touch with Gab yourself, hey. Thank him, tell him you're really happy with the work etc. and cheers for letting it happen. If you've had feedback, I'm sure they'd love to hear that too.
