So I've become a societal sheep and got myself an iPhone.
I see a lot of potential in this thing to include as a synth and or effect tool in my sets.
Another thing I really want is an audio input recorder within the iphone so I could potentially record straight from a mixer output into the phone?
Has anyone got any recommendations or feedback for some apps for this kinda shiz?
i looked into a recording device for iphone a while ago, loads of research ended no where. there's nothing out there.. and seems to be a pain in the ass to implement?

This looks promising for recording:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/iphone/fourtrack/
that program is just for recording from the mic isnt it? like instruments and vocals and you use either the phone mic or a plug in, third party mic.
I dont think it records line in..
Im pretty sure on the iphone/ipod dock connecter though.. one of the pins is 'line in'. just need some one to create a rca/3.5mm 'line in' dock connecter and enable it somehow in that app or as new app. im just thinking off the top of my head though...
then there is the retardness of not having a file manager to grab your recorded mp3's from!

I bought the $4 version of BPM. Love it when I'm on the train listening to music and I think... hey, would that go well with that track?? haha.
Baby scratch is hilarious too. I record my mum when she yells at me and scratch the crap out of it!
