as a devoted pc logic user and total cubase sx retard my only hope is for os x to be ported to pc, and a little birdie told me fairly recently that this was to happen soonish...

any word on if/when it's happening?

OSX for PC is definitely being developed. I think its code name is Darwin. I think I remember hearing that it would be out early next year, but I'm really not sure.

You would assume that Logic would work with OSX for PC, although I woudln't be surprised if they come up with some sort of hardware requirements that mean you have to upgrade to a Mac.

As a long time Mac and Logic user, I totally undertand your pain! I'd hate it if I couldn't use my favourite package. Here's hoping that OSX for PC comes soon!

get a linux distro. you can use emulation software to run almost any windows or mac applications on a linux desktop. You've been able to do it for years.

Darwin is the open source core of MacOSX...
Not an x86 port of OSX.

As for using linux and an emulator...good luck.
There are no emulators in existence that emulate a PPC...there's a plethora of 68k emulators...but that doesn't really help you if you are trying to run OSX.

Microcode have been reckoning they'll have a PPC emulator out soon for about two years...but no fruit.

shit eh
