Can anyone tell me how i can insert cd trackmarks into a wav or mp3?
What i've done is record a mix on MD, then record that onto the computer to be left with one long wav file. Til now i have had to put that whole file on cd with no trackmarkers.
I don't want to cut it up into separate files as they don't fit together that well when you burn them onto cd.
I have adaptec cd software.
Appreciate the help.

I use ADAPTEC JAM.
In this case, you want to burn a CD in 'track at once' mode, split the one wav file into many small ones, and make the intertrack spacing equal to '0'.
or, get a spoon, heat your smack up on it to remove impurities, fill a new needle, and stick in arm. that'll give you track marks every time.

use sonic foundrys' cd architect you need soundforge 4.5 as it acts as a plugin for soundforge it's the easiest audio cd program around
you want track marks play the file and hit the 't' key everytime you want a marker simple as that no gaps no glitches it has a whole bunch of other really cool features aswell ... check it out
I use Wavelab to put trackmarkers in my mixes - does exactly the same as CD Architect. Best thing I find is that you add the markers to the one long .wav file, save it, then burn it straight from Wavelab - no messing about.
I had a friend who used to take the .wav file, chop it up into individual files and save them (so for one mix he'd have a .wav file for each track), then use Nero to burn to disk. Doing it this way he had to change the gaps between the tracks to '0' as well. Way to time consuming for the same result really.

& don't forget about your cue sheets once you've done it!
so we can all just use a txt file to burn from... instead of re-tracking everything !
look up cue sheets, on google.
