What "things" need changing, also are you talking real mixers or some pussy DJ mixer thing. I can give you details for just about everything from curve switches to power supply over voltaging.

not sure if this mixer makes into the pussy catagory, but here's the deal

The Mixer is a Gemini PS 626 3ch mixer,

The Problem - the bass on the 3rd channel has started squelching when i turn it too far high or low ( it's been like it for a couple of months now ) & also the sound has started going out of the right speaker & i have to fuck around with it to get it back clear again. So i figure it's in the 3rd channel

have tried takin it apart & cleaning out any excess crap, but to no avail

& i don't wanna end up having to pay someone to look @ it , when i could just fix it myself.

If it's too pricey to get fixed, id prob be better off buyin a new mixer.

Hope you can help

get some electronics lube. spray all your pots and faders and it should fix the problem.

so is it a common problem,

is there any specific brand i should go for with the electronic lube & where would be the best place to purchase some

it happens with mixers when the parts start to wear out or get dirty. so yes its fairly common.

i have a can of cailuber my friend brought me back from the states, im not sure if its available here. before that i just had regular electronics tuner spray i bought from altronics. the cailube is a *bit* better. not too big a deal really.

Just replace the problem pot's the lubricant is never more than a temp fix. Also if the lubricant doesn't fix it then the pots probably aren't the problem, most likely dead opamps.
