How Very Convenient...
by John Bottoms
How very convenient. How very damned convenient. ~ L. Neil Smith, 1995
L. Neil wrote these bitterly sarcastic words in response to the 1995 bombing of the Murrah building in Oklahoma City, but they seem to resonate more strongly every day, as calamities pile up, seemingly always in the furtherance of State power. So, with the recent death of Minnesota's Senator Wellstone, it's my turn to say it:
How very convenient...
...that Democratic anti-war Senator Wellstone died, to the advantage of his Republican adversary, whose ascension to the Senate will give a majority to the Republican Party.
...that Wellstone died right after Republicans conceded privately that he was going to win his Senate race in spite of, or maybe even because of, his anti-war vote.
...that he died after voting against Bush's unilateral attack on Iraq, against Bush's Homeland Security Department, and in favor of an independent 9-11 investigation over Bush and Cheney's objections.
...that he died one day before time ran out to name a replacement candidate. Running posthumously, Wellstone would surely have won, and a replacement named by Minnesota Democrats. Replacement candidate over-the-hill Mondale has less of a chance. Senator Wellstone's wife was conveniently killed also, preventing a repeat of John Ashcroft's defeat two years ago by the wife of newly deceased air crash victim Mel Carnahan.
...that a weather radar map from the hour that the plane went down shows no precipitation anywhere in northern Minnesota, and the on-the-scene reporter said there was no indication that weather was a factor, which was confirmed by officials the day of the crash. But two days later Robert Benzon, the NTSB official in charge of the investigation describes temperatures near freezing with icy and snowy conditions at the time of the crash, and is searching for "valves and cockpit switches that could indicate whether the plane's de-icing equipment was functioning." The story takes shape.
...that another pilot who left the same airport about an hour after the crash reported only "trace to light icing," but the NTSB investigator wouldn't speculate on whether such minimal icing was sufficient to cause the crash, although they've been happy to speculate that icing may be the cause almost from the start.
...that Wellstone's airplane lacked the usual flight data recorder and a cockpit voice recorder, even though FAA spokesman Paul Takemoto said that the plane was supposed to be so equipped.
...that Carol Carmody, the acting head of the NTSB, said on the day of the crash that the plane had a cockpit voice recorder, but retracted it the next day.
...that the first rescue party at the Senator's crash site told St. Louis County Sheriff that "the fuselage was intact, the wings were separated from the plane and the tail had broken off." But the next day, the NTSB said that "only the burned tail section was still intact, but everything else was destroyed." Acting NTSB head Carmody said that the fuselage was destroyed and the cockpit was "gone," and that "the impact destroyed the fuselage and the cockpit."
...that "the condition of [the plane's] de-icing system...may be impossible to document because of the badly burned condition of the wreckage."
...that the plane's poor condition prevented investigators from learning whether either of the plane's two independent de-icing systems (a set of valves, air lines and expandable boots on the wings) worked or were activated.
...that investigators have few clues to go on "since the plane had neither a cockpit voice recorder nor a flight data recorder, issued no distress call and was mostly consumed by fire." But they're quite willing to speculate that the weather was the cause.
...that the NTSB says they may "spend at least a year" determining the cause of the accident. That's plenty of time to start several new wars of conquest.
...that in these days when the federal government is issuing almost daily terrorism alerts, the NTSB has apparently already rejected sabotage as a possible cause of the crash, instead focusing solely on the weather.
...that the Bush administration has had an active "Plan Wellstone" for more than a year, and recently campaigned for his opponent.
...that "just hours after [Wellstone] perished in the fiery accident, WABC Radio's resident Democrat Richard Bey complained that he thought the Wellstone crash defied mere coincidence--then pointed out that the Bush White House had made the Minnesota liberal one of its top political targets. By the next day Bey had second thoughts, telling his audience he didn't want to encourage such bizarre speculation." Did someone get to him?
...that Wellstone avoided an apparent assassination attempt in Colombia (where there's an active CIA presence) less than two years ago.
...that 9 other powerful and outspoken politicians have died in often mysterious plane crashes over the last 30 years. Most convenient was the death of Mel Carnahan, John Ashcroft's Senate opponent, almost exactly two years ago.
In the weeks and months to come, don't be surprised if the contradictions and misinformation start to pile up, so that we may someday view Senator Wellstone's death as something far more ominous than merely "convenient."

Following on the theme of political shenanigans that people should be ashamed of in the States.
In September 2000 (prior to the election) the federal govmnt bought a 97 count indictment against Koch Industries and 4 of it's employees - David Lamp, Vincent Mietlicki, John Wadsworth and James Weathers. Koch Industuries is the largest privately owned Oil Company in America. The CEO's of this company are Charles and David Koch,
(Earlier in 2000 Koch had been charged with illegal pollution in 6 states and fined $35 Million)
In November Bush gained control in the States and suddenly In January the charges against the company and it's employee's started dropping first to 11 charges and then 9.
The company still faced charges of $352 Million. However in March two more charges were dropped and then two days before the case was due to go to court the Justice Dept settled the case with a fine.
Koch Induststries pleaded guilty to a new charge of falsifying documents and the government ordered all charges against them dropped providing they pay an undisclosed fine.
So what was it that Koch Industries were guilty of?
The company willfully spewed deadly chemicals into the air and American waterways. A chemical that causes cancer and could possibly lead to many many deaths.
So why were they let off???
$800,000 in donations to Bush's election campaign.
The deaths of countless Americans total $800,000.
Would a government responsible for covering up a case that will lead to countless deaths worry about the piffling death of a leftie politician??
You decide.

The following are excerpts from an article in the May 27, 2002 edition of The Nation magazine. The full article can be found on the web at http://www.thenation.com/doc.mhtml?i=20020527&s=nichols ] Paul Wellstone, Fighter
by JOHN NICHOLS
[from the May 27, 2002 issue]
Paul Wellstone is a hunted man. Minnesota's senior senator is not just another Democrat on White House political czar Karl Rove's target list, in an election year when the Senate balance of power could be decided by the voters of a single state. Rather, getting rid of Wellstone is a passion for Rove, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush and the special-interest lobbies that fund the most sophisticated political operation ever assembled by a presidential administration. "There are people in the White House who wake up in the morning thinking about how they will defeat Paul Wellstone," a senior Republican aide confides. "This one is political and personal for them."
That has made it political and personal for Wellstone. The man who decided to abandon a self-imposed two-term limit on his Senate service at least in part because of his determination to block Bush's conservative agenda wears the target with pride. At a moment when most Democrats are still trying to figure out how to challenge a popular President, the former college wrestler is leaping into the ring. Wellstone is not running for cover; he is running to deliver a message about politics in a state and a nation that he believes to be far more progressive than the readers of political tea leaves in Washington could begin to imagine.
...
"Paul's a controversial guy. He's the little guy who takes on the big guys. That is not something the political process is designed to reward these days. If you take strong stands you put yourself at risk--and Paul takes more strong stands on more issues than just about anyone else."
...
The man who began burning bridges [in 1990] with the Bush family when he challenged then-President Bush's Persian Gulf War preparations on their first meeting ("Who is this chickenshit?" Bush Sr. asked) may be the Senate's boldest foe of the Star Wars national missile defense program and of increased military aid to Colombia.
...
Congressional Quarterly says no senator had a more consistent record of voting against Bush Administration proposals during the new President's first year. Wellstone racks up 100 percent ratings from the AFL-CIO, Americans for Democratic Action and the League of Conservation Voters. He is the veteran grassroots organizer hailed by consumer activists for waging a three-year battle to temper the draconian "bankruptcy reform" bill pushed by the credit card industry. He is the former college professor who has been the chief Senate voice of those who maintain that education-reform initiatives must involve better measures of success than standardized tests. He is the crusader for disability rights and healthcare reform who--since he was diagnosed in February as having a mild form of multiple sclerosis--is in demand not merely as an advocate but as a very human example of what the struggles are about. The Minneapolis Star Tribune recently described him as "the go-to guy to advance the causes of educators, environmentalists, consumer and labor groups, the elderly and the poor."
...
Now, Rove is gambling presidential prestige and Republican dollars on the prospect that the upper Midwest is the key to taking back a Senate that went Democratic last spring after Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords exited the GOP. "Midwestern voters don't feel the connection with the Democrats that they once did," crows Rove. To that end, Wellstone, South Dakota's Tim Johnson and Iowa's Tom Harkin, all up for re-election, are getting what GOP insiders call "the Rove treatment": recruitment of high-profile Republican challengers, major-league fundraising assistance and regular presidential visits. All other things being equal, picking off either Johnson or Harkin would be enough to split the Senate 50-50 and again allow Vice President Cheney to break partisan ties. But beating Wellstone would be the sweetest win. "They have made it very clear that if they could beat one Democrat this year, it would be Paul Wellstone," says Minnesota political consultant Richman. "Paul gets under their skin."
"When I first met the President, he called me 'Pablo,'" Wellstone jokes. "That lasted a day or two. Then they started trying to figure out how they were going to get rid of me."

Seems funny how they had said that there was a cockpit voice recorder on Wellstone's plane and now all of a sudden there was no CVR on the plane. The NTSB spokeswoman just seems like a bitch as she is, and can't answer a heated question straight. This plane was made for the weather it was flying in, and it had made contact for a successful landing just 2 minutes in advance, which would have put the plane at a steady descent, if anything were to happen mechanically, the plane would have been able to glide to it's touchdown with the experience of the pilots, on the other hand it had veered of course and made a sharp angle to the crash site which meant it dropped out of the sky like a rock, which would be consistent with a plane being shot down or forced down. Or as simple as disconnecting the plane's de-icing equipment. Not unlike the John F. Kennedy Jr and Missouri Gov. Mel Carnahan crashes, both of which involved planes already descending towards landing that suddenly wandered off the approach path and crashed. In all three cases, radio contact appears to have been cut off while the planes were still in the air, indicating total electrical failures on board coincident with the event that drove them off course. Local corporate media in Minnesota "reported that at the time of the crash, visibilty was 3 to 4 miles, the ceiling was 200 to 400 feet, and the temperature was 34 degrees. The weatherman on this station then plainly said that iceing only occurs when the temperature is between 28 and 31 degrees."
Also seems funny that, Raytheon, the company that built the plane, is based out of Texas, and also the same company that manufactures tomahawk cruise missiles. It would obviously be in the company's interest if America were to go to war, and Sen. Wellstone was one of the few prominent senators to cast a vote of "NO" for war. Let there be no doubt as to the identity of George W. Bush’s least favorite Democratic U.S. senator. It was Wellstone, the rabble-rousing liberal Progressive who represented not just Minnesota but what remains of the fighting populist spirit of the Upper Midwest. But the Bush camp has been focusing highest-level attention on "Plan Wellstone" — its project to silence progressive opposition. The Bush and his administration despised Wellstone, who unlike most Senate Democrats had been fighting spirited battles against the new administration’s policies on everything from the environment to the tax cuts for the rich to military aid for the "Plan Colombia" drug war. Wellstone was also adamantly against the invasion of Iraq, wanted private investigations into WTC disaster, and pointed out prior knowledge of 9-11. He was also against Homeland Security, and the Patriot Act. Is this a warning to other senators, not to go against Bush and to vote for anything that is put in front of them i.e. the Patriot Act? Sen. Wellstone fought to bolster Americans' privacy rights and limit government surveillance of the Internet.
"If Bush had died in a plane crash, would there not be immediate open speculation about the possibility of assassination? Wellstone held the balance in the Senate for the Democrats; he was as opposed to Bush policies as any Senator could be, in issues of war, health policy, and labor issues. His death has great political and social significance." So far, corporate media has not raised the possibility of assassination and is pointing to bad weather conditions as the cause of the crash. There is much doubt about this story, though.
Sherlock Holmes solved at least one case by noticing that something that should be present was missing. In the Hound of the Baskervilles, he solved the case by noticing that no one reported a barking dog. So what's missing in terms of the Wellstone plane crash? For the last 14 months, anytime there has been a plane crash, the media go way overboard in assuming that this must somehow be a terrorist incident. The initial reaction of the media in the first hours of the event is always now "oh my, I hope this isn't happening again. I hope this isn't another terrorist attack." Just a few days ago, there was a news story that Al-Queda may be targeting US Senators. The story referred to the possibilities of sniper attacks on golf courses. Just a few days later, a US Senator dies. So, what's missing? Sen. Wellstone's plane crashes, and there is absolutely no speculation that this is a terrorist attack. Somehow the media immediately knows that this plane crash was caused by bad weather, and this is in no way a terrorist attack. The media dog has been barking "terrorist" steadily for 14 months. Today the dog didn't bark.
This is it, folks, war has been declared on us by those among us who seek to give absolute power to a fascist regime that wants to plunge us and the world into an eternal war to fuel their own lust for wealth and power. If America allows this murder to go unaddressed, uninvestigated by an unbiased, thorough investigators in a search for facts open at every turn to the public, then our nation is doomed. The Nazis are here to stay. Who then, will be next?
The executive branch has already slyly given itself more power over the other branches, and the republicans already have control over both the executive and judicial branches. If the republicans shift the seats their way in congress, then, they too will have control of the legislative branch, and our rights will be even more shed and tyrant Bush won't have to doubt anything he wants to pass. Ever since he corruptly put himself in office in 2000, whom the populist didn't favor, everything in this country has gone downhill. Prior to the 2000 election I was proud to be an American, now at times I am ashamed. The government is supposed to be representative of the people, but it'sn not in the least bit. Some fuckin' Arlington, VA. based company that supports republicans was going to fund an anti-Wellstone campaign in the weeks prior to the election. This is an election for the "Representative" of the Minnesota people...not a fuckin' outstate company.
The Democrats held control of the Senate by 1 seat, with the loss of Wellstone, it makes it even more convenient for the crooks to get their way, giving them more power.
This election is as important as any other. Let's make these fucking crooks sorry for what they are worth. They can fuckin' try all they fuckin' want to put that fuckin' circus clown "who can juggle"--if you've seen his sorry ass commericials--lmfao...Norm "FAG"man into office. But lets make our VOICES be heard and not give into the bullshit they have handed us. Unless you are rich or support terrorism and the possibility of launching World War III, and if you like to have your rights shed...vote republican, but if you like your rights and don't want to obliterated in a nuclear war, keep the votes away from them. I'm not saying to vote Democrat, but they have the best chance of keeping a crook out of office. Indepenent is the way to, not necessarily as the party, but as an indepentent voice, don't vote on party lines!
Lets carry on the voice of the belated Sen. Paul Wellstone, who was without question the greatest voice in favor of we the people, so lets continue to make our voice heard in the echo of his.
In memory and honor of the late Sen. Paul Wellstone, 1944-2002

Woah i think i heard something about, but actually reading this is spine chilling. To think that Bush will have control of the American Parliament would be unthinkable. Recently he passed a tax bill which made poor poorer and rich richer (already covered). Funnily enough guess who helped george bush into presidency? The big corporations did, that's why he put the bill up. So if he does take control we will see bloodshed and maybe the end of the world, due to his own selfish interests. What we see now is a NAZI like regime, but opposing political parties are removed covertly not overtly. I can see george bush leading his country down into the pits of hell.

A footnote for those of you who do not know about the "Bankrupcy Reform" bill that Dickhead W Bush Junior introduced.
What happens now is if you file for bankrupcy then you still have to pay the money back. WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ALL ABOUT???
Credit Companies can continue to lend money to desperate people and when those people finally give up the ghost and file for Bankrupcy, well the debt is still there to be paid back.
This is a draconian measure which punishes the poor, grinding them in to a cycle of debt they may never clamber out from under because any money they earn has to go towards paying previous debts. Don't worry about the corporations posting MASSIVE profits every year while more and more people get further and further into debt.
Where's the due dilligence for the money lenders?? They can keep pushing people further into debt, creating misery, because they know they're going to get their money eventually.
Sometimes a desperate person will do stupid things pushing themselves further into debt. So what does Bush do?? Regulate against the money lenders to stop such practices?? No. He legislates against the poor bastards at the bottom so the ultra rich can grab more cash.
And his vote went up????? X(

The Bush family are just one family part of a chain of reptilian extraterrestrials known as the Draco who have, throughout history, sought to control the human masses.
Their numbers include ancient geneological lines from Pharoah Rameses II, Alexander the Great, Cleopatra, the de Medici family and King Herod amongst many through to a majority of US presidents, Kaiser Willhelm II and most of the royal families throughout Europe, including the British Royal Family. Their hold over society is tied in very closely with the illuminati, in fact they pretty much control them.
The "Age of Enlightenment" the world is entering is causing them great stress and they are seeking to re-establish their waning hold on the masses by the enforce of their New World Order. The current world events are an attempt to negate this age and subjugate their increasingly aware "cattle" (ie. us).
Secret societies such as the Freemasons, Skulls etc. etc. know this and guard the secrets closely. Judaism also knows this, and guard their own bloodline from contamination.

A bit naff must be a euphemism for TAKING THE PISS!!
It is known that the Space Aliens had been studying the planet for quite some time. This study had been conducted in secret, however, with minor assistance from the Illuminati. In 1933, the Space Aliens contracted with the U.S. government to supply technology in return for the right to abduct and experiment on animals and humans. In 1947, a vehicle carrying several Greys crashed near Roswell, New Mexico. This crash led to contact between Majestic 12 and the Space Aliens. At that time, Majestic 12, more powerful than the U.S. government, offered the Space Aliens a deal: they would cover up the presence of the aliens, continue to allow them to abduct humans for genetic experiments, and give them free cable television. In return, Majestic wanted the alien technology they had previously been giving to the U.S. government. Although the aliens agreed to this arrangement, tensions were high, and a major firefight broke out between alien guests and Majestic guards, leaving several guards dead. This incident, known as the Dulce Wars, caused a serious rift in human-alien relations, and it took several years and approximately 13,000 gallons of beer to resolve. Relations between the aliens and our other terrestrial members have improved in recent years, allowing us to continue on to our eventual goal: the enslavement of all humans and the worship of Satan!
Nice Thread hijack into the ridiculous Mr Stu:
" I want humans and cable TV god dammit!!!"
To quote Funkstu:
"The Bush family are just one family part of a chain of reptilian extraterrestrials known as the Draco who have, throughout history, sought to control the human masses. "
Let Me introduce the Draco's:
DRACOS ("REPTILIANS")
The most sinister of the alien groups (and, therefore, our favourite) is the Dracos, or Reptilians. The Dracos are not native to Zeta Reticuli, but are actually the leaders of the Space Aliens. The Dracos are reptilian, and resemble something like a cross between a human and a lizard.
While the Greys do most of the work of the Space Aliens under the direction of the Insectoids, the Dracos command the Insectoids. The Dracos, in fact, play the most important part of the entire New World Order conspiracy; whereas the rest of the aliens are merely demons, the leader of the Dracos is none other than the one and only Satan! This is extremely significant, in that Satan is a direct ancestor of the Jewish Bankers and the object of worship for the Illuminati. The Dracos are originally from Mars, where they had a thriving civilization until Satan and God’s little spat. They are responsible for the face on Mars.
There is no way your mum believes that and whilst I appreciate the humour, I will flip you the bird for patronising me....(insert bird here)

Minnesota Sen. Paul Wellstone was a serious man who cared profoundly about his fellow citizens. He took courageous stands against an administration that he viewed with profound suspicion, arguing eloquently against tax cuts for the rich, the subversion of the Constitution, and violating international accords. He would have led the opposition to the war in Iraq if only he had had the chance. Everyone knew it and he may have died because of it.
For nearly a year now, evidence has been accumulating about the event that ended the life of this magnificent human being. Whatever caused the crash was not the plane, the pilots or the weather. In spite of what you may have heard, the plane was exceptional, the pilots well-qualified and the weather posed no significant problems. Even the National Transportation Safety Board's own simulations of the plane, the pilots and the weather were unable to bring the plane down.
This means we have to consider other, less palatable, alternatives, such as small bombs, gas canisters or electromagnetic pulse, radio frequency or High Energy Radio Frequency weapons designed to overwhelm electrical circuitry with an intense electromagnetic field. An abrupt cessation of communication between the plane and the tower took place at about 10:18 a.m., the same time an odd cell phone phenomenon occurred with a driver in the immediate vicinity. This suggests to me the most likely explanation is that one of our new electromagnetic weapons was employed.
The politics of the situation were astonishing. The senator was pulling away from the hand-picked candidate of the Bush machine. Its opportunity to seize control of the U.S. Senate was slipping from its grasp. Its vaunted "invincibility" was being challenged by an outspoken critic of its most basic values. Targeted for elimination, he was going to survive. Here's one man's opinion: Under such conditions, the temptation to take him out may have been irresistible.
Among the striking indications that something was wrong with the NTSB in its inquiry into the causes of the crash is that Carol Carmody, a former employee with the CIA, the head of the team, announced the day after that the FBI had found no indications of terrorist involvement. Yet it is the responsibility of the NTSB to ascertain the cause of the crash, which has yet to be determined to this very day.
So how could the FBI possibly know?
The FBI's prompt arrival was peculiar. As Christopher Bollyn of American Free Press reported (www.rumor
millnews.net, Oct. 29, 2002), "According to Rick Wahlberg, then St. Louis County sheriff, a team of FBI agents was quickly on the crash site about noon, less than an hour after (assistant manager Gary) Ulman and the (fire) chief had first located the site and found a way to access the wreck. This FBI team had come from the distant Twin Cities in record time!"
When Bollyn "asked Ulman if he had notified the FBI about the accident, Ulman said he had not spoken with the bureau at any time. Asked how the FBI got to the site so quickly, Ulman said that he assumed they had come from Duluth. AFP contacted the Duluth office of the FBI and was told that the team of 'recovery' agents had not come from Duluth but had traveled from the FBI office in Minneapolis."
I calculate that this team would have had to have left the Twin Cities at about the same time the Wellstone plane was taking off.
Gary Ulman confirmed to me that the FBI had been on the scene no later than 1 p.m.
I have reviewed the log books maintained by the Sheriff's Department at Eveleth and have discovered that they are grossly incomplete and cannot confirm when the FBI showed up.
The FAA has told me that its records of private aircraft arriving in Duluth that morning have been destroyed, even though they might verify the FBI's early arrival.
And the NTSB has canceled sessions where it would ordinarily take input from the public.
Michael Ruppert (fromthe
wilderness.com, Nov. 1, 2002) has reported, "The day after the crash I received a message from a former CIA operative who has proven extremely reliable in the past and who is personally familiar with these kinds of assassinations. The message read, 'As I said earlier, having played ball (and still playing in some respects) with this current crop of reinvigorated old white men, these clowns are nobody to screw around with. There will be a few more strategic accidents. You can be certain of that.' "
If you think that's a stretch, consider: Hundreds of young Americans have been put in harm's way by a war that was promoted on the basis of lies about weapons of mass destruction, collaboration with Osama bin Laden, and Sept. 11.
Some 3,000 Americans were killed when the Twin Towers collapsed, and yet the president and the vice president of the United States have done everything they can to obstruct a open and honest investigation of the causes of that traumatic event. And when a leak from his own administration leads to the exposure of a CIA operative concerned with weapons of mass destruction, the President tells us "we may never know."
This is a corrupt administration.
One of the oddest events since the election is that Wellstone's successor in the U.S. Senate, Norm Coleman, has been placed in charge of the Senate Investigations Committee.
That is an extraordinarily sensitive responsibility to be placed upon a freshman senator with no previous experience. My guess would be that it has never happened before. But the reasoning behind it may not be that difficult to fathom: Would anyone be less inclined to pursue the Wellstone death?
One man's opinion: The evidence presented here and elaborated elsewhere in detail establishes a prima facie case that this death was no accident, that the motives were political and begs the question: Was the White House involved?
An investigation by the St. Louis County prosecutor would be most welcome.
In the chorus of memories for a man who made a difference, let us bear in mind that truth is our only defense against an onslaught of lies that have dominated a media that appears too weak or too complicit to resist.
