for the punters... what good/bad/wack/funny stuff have you seen djs and acts been wearing lately?
i ask this as im looking at the style of Judge Jules and the like, or the "i totally dont care" denim and shirt of Chemical Brothers
as for me? god i love a singlet when im on stage as i SWEAT (damn live acts gotta work it more then you djs :P)
and for real, i saw a dj in a fur coat the other night... no way

hot as fu-ck but i say go the sonic animation costumes dri! ;D
i dont mind the cas' look but specially for live acts it doesnt hurt to put a little effort into your appearance. how bout you all wear the same suits at your next gig dri? ;)
djs dont need to try as much since theyre either not seen or only their top half is showing.

haha yeah Pez we've gone to some odd lengths before entertaining ourselves with the onstage clothing thing. we went through odd phases of obscure eastern europian soccer jerseys, of military and police coveralls/jumpsuits (a joke on our previous jobs) of tech/biolersuits also and even an over-the-top bling-bling gangsta style that was a sarcastic piss-take and went down kinda funny
in the end though that was "back in the days" and we'd rather concentrate on entertaining our 1000' plus rave crowds and those cosy Moonbar-esque gigs you know
BUT
i double dare you to come up with an outfit for me pez... give it an ITM badge or similar promo and bring along a camera... i cant promise it will last the WHOLE gig but i will wear it
ps, who were the fools in space outfits? who had a dancer in a suit and gas mask intimidating people? who tried to make a "rabbit in the moon" style light suit but shocked himself when drinking beer.... yes yes we've got a lot to answer for...

well my stepbro and I are importing a clothing brand called MONEYSHOT for all you boys out there. got some really cool t-shirts. you can see them being sported by people such as grinspoon, elroy, seamus and some other local talent.
check out da website- its dope
www.moneyshot.co.nz
u can get em from central station records in sydney yo
Due to sponsorship of events I've had to wear the sponsors T-shirt. Not bad though cause I get a new car polishing wrag every time :p
Otherwise, I would be to Djing what jamie oliver is to cooking - no, not a wanker - naked!

Judge Jules? Style? wash your mouth out with soap young man. He looks like an extra from the gay and lesbian mardi gras that somehow got lost and ended up in the dj booth.
Wear clothes that reflect you, or your music. Don't wear clothes to fit and image or look cool (unless you're actually trying to be funny because it's the image you're trying to reflect  ), coz it'll be the music and your performance that determines that and in the end it's all about the music, and not what you bloody well look like.
That's just what i think :)

Do those 3 words even go together??
You are Dj
You are a Performer
or you are into fashion
No once yet have I seen the 3 mix.......
Although Dr Damage TRIES HARD .......
skin some poor animal, wear the fur on your head and play at some bush doof. yeah. do that :)
i reckon the best i've seen is the wearing of council outfits i.e. road work ppl at night - wearing the white gear with the white reflective jackets!

Ok if you are Kylie M -
Then would love to see this -
G-string and Aussie flag outfit - ???
Maybe the G- String even be made from the flag itself !!!
But the male's buttocks and frontocks would want to be well worth the G- String ride - ******!!!!!!!
OH Y E A H B A B Y :)
But then again - the real world - is this fashion ?!!???
No it is not..........
But take us Aussies to a further place on the global music scale - WELL - I would class that as very fashionable !!!!

haha phunk no g-string for me
im a musician... i got NO style. i used to wear my sponsors clothes in the "olde days" but no as a free spirit its whatever i feel fresh in :P
some "uniformed" style acts pull it off but a dj in something "fancy" usually looks crap.
i think dj fashion is a little bland and boring though.
oh oh oh! a friend of ours MISS TRACY looks utterly adorable in her hyper-gotracy futuro skirt type thing... utterly mega cool style there (shhh, dont tell her i said that though....)
and NIL made his cop's overalls look funny onstage (yes, he was a cop, even funnier if you know who im talking about especially)
if i didnt sweat so much id go a business suit. then perhaps a Ki (taekwon do outfit), but nothing too dramatic
back to judge jules... i was being sarcastic. he looks like a total fool.
....Hotham in 2001, I think they where on of the most entertaining dance music acts I have ever seen.
VERY COOL!!
It was a while ago though and I might have the name all wrong, thoroughly off chops whilst being entertained....

I think that a person dj or not should wear what they want and feel comfortable in.. Nothing like wearing something that looks good that is as un comfortable as all hell.
A dj in SA here though who's been workin out and has buffed up sure looks good in sleevless tops though.. If ya got it flaunt it I say.. nothing like a bit of eye candy for the punters..
Dillinja had a Luis Vitton record bag.
Tasty! :)
