hmm...personally I was expecting a little more from 'Mr. Disco' considering his stats. Been given the opportunity to play in an intimate surrounding, Minke - dubbed as one of Adelaide's funkiest venues - which usually rings true on a Saturday night - perhaps the Friday night may have been the problem? I had to have a cac when I heard Allkins drop 'Deep down and Dirty' remixes and the like - quite cheesy - lacking the required depth. To think that he has quite a bit of international exposure but still chose to throw down pus at such a small venue. Maybe no one informed him it wouldn't be a crap Sydney super club or somethin? It seems i'm loosing faith in the Australian deep house scene.. does it still exist .. ? ... It was my first friday night @ Minke (that I can remember) ... and I was expecting more.... love the club ... but it seems to only have the right feel on Sat ... suppose I can thank HMC for that ! .. can anyone explain the fri night thing to me ? ... it was probably just the Sydney cheese ... damn Gouda ... bring on the Mersey Valley I say !
