Here's da lowdown on the new years hoedown...

Naggers (tenaglia) is in Melb at last report.. the peeps that are doing GCSSS are bringing him out.. but since he was a no show at Space closing in Ibiza due to Sept. 11th.. bit of a hit or miss. If he shows, it will blow every other NYE away in the country.

Diggers(john Digweed) is at Gas in Sydney.. should be OK

I have also got wind of an Impressive lineup for Brisbane on NYD... on the river supposedly... at an indoor/outdoor that holds 3000 peeps. Tapping into my clubland grapevine, I hear that the line up should be Emerson, Morales, Heaven and Spiller + a load of Sydney DJ's wanting to bail out of sydney on NYD...

Looks like to me Brisbane has got it goin on this New Years Day... what do you think? The grapevine is working overtime with all these internationals about so there's a very good chance it will be on!

i saw Emerson at BDO last year, WOW. i cannot think of a better line up Brisbane has had. How much would this be????? $60 $50????, what djs from sydney are they going to use?? what locals ???

Whatever goes down, I'll be there. On the topic of Sydney DJs bailing, I think Jules Beaumont or Craig Obey should come up for NYD. That'll round off the celebrations just nicely, methinks :) I'm not prepared to get excited about internationals until I see a final lineup. Been down that road before...

Come to think of it, I am having more trouble deciding what to do NYE. The only thing I do know is that I can't be arsed travelling anywhere for it. What does everyone think?

I will be in Vanuatu for NYE( now thats travelling somewhere). I'll probably end up sitting on the roof of my house watching the little home-made fireworks in town across the habour and listening to all the locals hooting and yippeeing. Relaxing. Thats if theres no cylcones - then it would be real exciting trying to sit on my roof.
As for new years day- sleeping on my roof or if there was a cylcone-in a banyan tree somewhere on the island.
I'm bummed that I'll miss out on the funky stuff that may happen on the river though.

Any idea Pete about when we will be hearing news about this if it turns out to be true??!! I am going to Brisbane (from Sydney) over the new year and was starting to regret it - but this would make it extremely worthwhile.

Danny T is a no show for new years in OZ this year hey....He is going to playing in San Fran or San Deiago...Read the posting in the News section about it or check xpander....Have no idea where i will be tho...I wouldn't mind playing somewhere or doofing it....doubt i could get down to Welcome tho...a shame but hey

I am definitely leaning towards partying harder on NYD than NYE... I'm tired of the hype. Hopefully I won't still be working where I am and can actually enoy the WHOLE holiday season... why the f**k do people want pizza on NYE anyway?
