Firstly, Let me say my deepest thanks to all of you that responded to my thread, your feedback is vitally important to me here and it is graciously appreciated.
After reading the large amount of mail this is what we have deicded to do.
1. The Rhythm Room: We have decied to put on a monthly night called the Rhythm Room, however, unlike other stations that came before us, we will stick to our policy and not jump into the sack with any one club, Brisbane is too small to that and we have been and will continue to work with any and all clubs where ever possible.
The first Rhythm Room is Thursday 29th Nov, @MyBar Surfers Paradise at 10pm,playing on the night will be Cosmo Cater, Ryan Perkiss, Leaon Carter (UK) and resident Mat Kitshon. It will also be the official CD launch of Kosheen's new albulm: RESIST. Admission is only $5 and it is from 10pm, value for money worth the drive.
2. Rhythm DAZE : In December we will be trialing a format of a daytime chill club, not a recovery place, at Mantra on Saturday from 11am to 4 or 6pm (still working that one out) It will simply be a place to come and chill for the afternoon and listen to some undiscovered talent. It will be different, there will be people there to give you a foot or neck rub, manicure or tell you your future with the tarrot cards. Looking at other stuff as well such an entertainment zone, but stay tuned for details, but it will start within the next month. Admission will be $2
Rhythm Fm is comitted to not only being a part of the scene but as the only true dance music station we are committed to help stimulate it with fresh promotional activites.And if I ever get to chessy feel free to give me a verbal slap around the head.
It is all about the music, but it also about having fun.
