what were your thoughts? i mean obviously many of you will be writing the review. but lets hear your lest ubjective views.

for me it wasnt as good as last years delirious. there just wasnt the same vibe. im not sure why. i thought lucien rocked. the toilet queues sucked big time. and all the wankers who managed to start grass fires by not butting out their cigarettes properly can go jump overboard. especially the clown who managed to light the big one. big ups to MRW for stepping in on the main stage for sander k. i wondered why it was a bit more tech house'ish then what i was expecting. i didnt find out it was him until after. maybe MRW should play that stuff a bit more often? another thing that sucked was the dust. im coughing up pure chunks of dust from my throat. and extracting dust from crevaces that i didnt even know existed. oh well still a good day/night. a bit cut i missed the after party as i heard it rocked. but by that stage i was not on this planet.

In my opinion, GSSS this year was infinitely better than last year's Delirious, but that's coming from a tech perspective.

There was a good crowd in the tech tent throughout the day. Richie threw down a really cool set, although I was disappointed he didn't get Final Scratch up and running...plus he was only on 2 for most of it. Luke Slater played a blinder - upstaging Richie in my opinion. Valentino played quite a nice set, very appropriate for that time of the afternoon and leading into Richie. Although I only saw about 40 minutes of Umek, what I saw of him was disappointing - he seemed to be just going through the motions. Granted, there wasn't much of a crowd in the tech tent at the time he played, but it was heaps bigger than the crowd Richie played to last year.....and at least Richie had a go at introducing a vibe to the tent on that occasion - Umek just didn't seem bothered yesterday.

Apart from all that, I thought it was well run. Yeah, it's a hassle about the dust, but it kinda comes with the territory. The fires can't really be helped either, and they seemed to be extinguished quickly.

And no, Sean, MRW should definitely NOT become a tech-house DJ. You need to find techno in your heart, my friend :)

De La Soul were awesome! but they were quite rude and kicked off Dan the Man and Bilsby 30 mins early and went 45mins over, but they still rocked :) Endorphin LIVE were excellent! and MRW played a blinder after them and then of course the green man, Green Velvet lived up to all my expectations, just a madman :)
Meat Katie played some awesome phat breaks, James Lavelle was interesting, playing tech house in the breaks tent. Valentino played an excellent set, Richie was disappointing. Luke Slater was rocking.
The dust and wind and @!#$ really didnt make a pleasant end to the evening, but ah well.
