SPACE update - Opening Party Sat 8 Dec

SPACE takes the next two weeks off from Moskva before returning for our Grand Opening Party on Sat 8th December.

We will then be continuing every week, bringing you the freshest progressive sounds at Brisbane's first weekly club for this style of music.

The Grand Opening Party will feature 9 DJ's, giving you a taste of what's upcoming at SPACE over the coming months.

We'll also have a very special guest from the UK, details to be announced soon....

Entry just $5 all night, and doors open at 8pm.

Brisbane's first weekly club dedicated to progressive sounds explodes with a Grand Opening Party of mamoth proportions !!

Featuring 8 of the DJ's you can expect to see on a regular basis at SPACE, representing the cream of progressive talent in Brisbane, get set for a Journey in Sound !

Our special guest for the night will be none other than ex-Brisbane lad now based in the UK, Shane Alexander.

Shane was one of the original purveyors of progressive sounds in Brisbane, and was a long time resident of The Tube. Shane was involved in the high profile tours of three of the UK’s biggest clubs, RENAISSANCE (1998), CREAM (1996) and NORTHERN EXPOSURE (1997) as a supporting DJ. He also appeared at numerous dance parties including, STRAWBERRY FIELDS, ADRENALIN, NASA, and BLUNT.

Now based in London, Shane is firmly entrenched with the WHOOP! outfit, with a residency at "Loose" at The Retoxbar, Covent Garden, London with Nick Hook (Off The Hook Records, Distinctive Records), Mike Monday (Radio 1 "Essential Mix", Whoop Records, Yoshitoshi etc) and Andy Morris (Kiss FM guest DJ). He also has a residency at The Mess Bar, Battersea, London and played alongside guests including Parks and Wilson, Commie, and Joel Xavier.

Guest DJ appearances have included "Whoop It Up" at Velvet Rooms, Soho, London with Chris and James, Nick Hook and Joel Xavier. "Whoop It Up" is London's best and longest running progressive house night.

SPACE is very proud to welcome Shane Alexander back to his home town of Brisbane, to launch our first weekly progressive club night !
