Chicago house clubs?

okily dokily folks,
so I'm in the windy city and considering I'm all the way over here I shouldn't really let this opportunity go by not to visit a house music club here.

So if you can help me out and give me the name/address of a great house club I'd be mucho appreciative. (no handbag or hands in the air house music tho ;)

We're looking to head out on Saturday night.

there's a famous club called the crobar. carl cox played there on one of his latest releases. from what i know..it's a full on club....where a lot of internationals play. you shouldn't have much trouble finding what you want there. check out a magazine called TIME OUT. there should be a release for chicago....try stores like borders or Virgin record stores...if there's one like it there in downtown...go to any music store and they should be able to point you in the right direction.

while you're there...don't miss an IMAX on in think it's called navy pier...something like that....said to be the best imax in the world. also check out a blues bar there....even the blues brothers club.....i guess chicago is famous for that @!#$. and if you're that type...there's always a jerry springer or oprah to catch.

climb the sears tower, eat lots of pizza, just walk the street....it's getting warmer there so it should be heaps of fun.

go to grammaphone records, sneak used to work behind the counter there, not that he would htese days, but they will certainly be able to steer you in the right direction.

In terms of the options... Smartbar definietly appears to be the most considtent week in week out.

I think Zentra gets in good house DJs on friday nights.

Spybar has good prog DJs on fri nights

Boom Boom Room, you must def go to the Boom Boom Room. I was in Chi last year in oct & it was by far the most awesome night i experienced there. Unless it has moved it should be @ the Dolphin Bar on a monday night i believe. A great follow up from it if you don't want to spend the whole night there is $1.00 drinks @ Hydrate. Ask for the bartenfder John Stein he'll look after you.
