Was just having a chat to a friend about how we came across our beloved ITM :). There are so many people out there (who lurk anyway), that I haven't been out one weekend in a while where I havent met someone who doesn't visit. HI NICK from Subbies BTW, NICE TO MEET YOU, look out for your mates on video soon :).

Geeze, anyway, back to the point, I remember discovering ITM back in March or April 2000 whilst doing a search engine on Sublime (Altavista maybe) then came across ITM and never look back :).

Where did everyone else find it?

Used to work in Pyrmont and was walking past Quarrymans Hotel on Harris Street. They had a Digweed quote on the board out the front about not waving his hands in the air whilst mixing, followed by the address of ITM, the rest is history.

About a year ago one of my friends sent me a link to the party photos section where there was a messy shot of another friend. Used to check out the reviews and photos from there on about once a week or during lunch.

Discovered forum addiction in about October last year and have been posting pretty regularly ever since. Posted under a few pseudonyms early on depending on content, have been operating as threelittlepigs since January. :)

knew andre from the dark old days and saw his original idea for inthemix (place for no-name dj's to post and critique mixes) get up, then down, then get replaced by something pretty similar to what it is now. moved to perth in novmeber 99 and submitted a few items (check the really old event reviews). gave up for a while because figured no one in perth eveer visited the damn site anyway, then really started to pick things up in about september or so of last year. has been very slowly growing inthe west since.

fuckn same here Doc!! I think; memory aint what it used to be. I was scrolling through this and attempting to remember what drew me to this site, and was concluding that it must have been my egotistical attraction to see what my 15 minutes of fame would look like:p

I remember when ITM was DJ Drey's homepage with mp3's and links to jelly bean sites (or something of the like).

Since posting message #2 in the forum, I have been a contributor and user of the site from its original inception.

i was, like so many, a hard working member of the telecommunications community, always eager to help out my colleagues with any task small or large.

then one day my hapless search engine chanced upon a site which has proved my undoing.

the site was ITM (http://www.inthemix.com.au).

since then my work (and play) hours have been viciously truncated by this dastardly (and quite often foul) beast.

my friends report severly reduced social abilities, glazed eyes and poor apetite... the only thing that seems to be improving is my typing speed.

someone help me.

I woke up early one day while Optimus slept and hopped on his comp and went to ITM and registered! Goddamit I wanted to be cool too! -

Like all you other hard workers out there (not) I worked at the time for a Government agency and spent many boring hours while my boss was out on the net. Always posting and sussing out the Heaven II Nightclub site here in SA saw the link ( the win free stuff part caught my attention) and from ever since then I have become addicted...

And have made alot of my mates too addicted to itm.. beats doing real work, and it looks as though you are busy at the computer... an all round goer

I think I found it from a reference to it on thescene.com.au in about March 2000.

I didn't used to like it as much as thescene, because it didn't seem to be focused on any cities other than Sydney. But either my horizons have broadened or ITM has developed, or thescene has deteriorated (or both) because now my browser is open on ITM practically all day.

I think smurph or k-rad told me about it sometime mid last year..

I found inthemix when surfing around pointlessly at work, around January 2001 but lurked mainly for a long time. Now I can't live without it !

I really don't remember exactly.
It was a time when I was going clubbing and I don't remember much. :?

I think a mate put me on to it at work.

Mrs Lamb saw me checking the site out and advised me to contact ITM about reporting, so I did.

That was in October 2001.

i, like princess01, used 2 b a 'thescene' poster but got really pissed-off with all the bullshit on it and the stupid farks that ran it.

then, dermalephonkman introduced me 2 some itmers at some party and they told me that itm also had a forums sections and as they say, 'the rest is history...'

I also found ITM from the link drey posted on SPRACI. He also posted a link on bluelight. I read the site for ages before posting in the forums cause I was overseas at the time and didn't have anything to add about Sydney clubbing at the time. I used to post very occasionally about clubbing in London though :)

I feel that I have neglected something when I miss a day of not visiting.....is there someone I can "confess" to when I do miss a day of not visiting.

"forgive me drey.......I have not visited ITM for 2 dayz this last week.....it was stupid of me I know but can you forgive me...??"
