I love food and I love these places..
Louise,
across the road from Bravo in Crows Nest but although Bravo is ok Louise isheaps better old skool home cooked meal, had it tonight for first time and was farken good, Patrick the owner is champion to :) Also AWESOME real home made gelato.
(dont be put off if it is quiet, well worth it and we payed $20/head for entree and main)
Burgerman
Hidden away inthe depths of the cross or over Bondi Junction way, not that chepa but and EXCELLENT meal, go the lamb with feta and if you get chips get the spesh dipping sauce. Its next to noodle king on that road of your turn right at the coke sign off william street. Near St Vinnies hospital
Ogalo
Portugese chicken burger, i think is much better than oporto. Very tasty one in crows nest or a few popping up everywhere
Bill and Tonies
Stanley st city, home cooked italian fast and fresh free bread and cordial, not bad for casual date or something.
Unknown
Cant remember the name but it is on the busy side of Artarmon Station. It looks shonkey as hell. Has a white sign is very small inside if you walk out of the station, cross the road, turn right and walk about 30 meters it is about there. Damn good asian food at a good price.
Anyone got any more?

how dare you say the other place is better than bravo's.. hehe.. bravo's rocks.. damn fine pasta and damn fine gelato.. Bravo's is up there on the top of my list.
some others
Chitoria (sp??)
Top of Cockle Bay wharf. Mighty fine asian food. Very quick but almighty tasty. Can feed/drink alot of people for $20 per head.
Baia (sp??)
Italian resturant next to plontoon. Great food, great service and well priced. Another quality italian joint for sure.
JuJu's.
Located on the corner under the coke sign at kings cross. Great japanese resturant. Friendly staff and nice decor. They even have karoake aswell.
Fina Bar
Its really a cafe located in chatswood. Best place to sit on a saturday arvo while having a lovely sandwich and checking out the best eye candy sydney has to offer. (my opinion)
oh i almost forgot.. This Thai cafe in Wahroonga. Had the best satay chicken ive ever had in my life the other day. The sauce was soooo delicious.. Go check it out if ur in the area.
Don Don (Don x 2) on Oxford st
unassuming plain, very amiable, japanese restaurant
specialising in udon noodles but can get sushi combinations
delicious and cheap
The Dumpling King, in china town
it's next to that chinese noodle restaurant in
the burlington centre
it's incredibly delicious and very cheap again
they have small portions, so you can have a lot of variety
and really stuff yourself for very little money
best Thai,
I reckon Banks on enmore road newtown

pfttt...have you been to "the other place" ??
I am thinking not, we all decided to try something else and once you try the food at louise think back to the last time you had bravos and compare, and you will realise Bravo's is the macdonalds of italian :P

was thinking the exact same thing when he wrote 'the other place'... nice smack bob. bravos feels like a food court, at pinos you feel italian for a night, so cosy and family like. and agreed stir crazy is incredible

i was just joking kiddies. im sure the other place is quality aswell. i just favour bravo's bcoz i have friends who work there and they have been producing quality food for a long long time.
ill have to check the other place out.
Thai Jaroen - Newtown, King St.
Best Thai I have ever eaten and I have had a few, cheap affordable meals, B.Y.O. Alcohol with $1 p.p. corkage. There is a beer garden out the back with a clear see thru roof that is awesome for big dinner parties and feasts where you can get right royally smashed. Favorites include the Green Curry and Massaman Curry with some Satay skewers for entree.
La Montavana - Castle Hill, Castle Hill Road (Below Coco's chinese Resteraunt)
Best Italian I have ever eaten and in being 1/2 Italian I have eaten at many a Italian Resteraunt in my 26 years on this Earth. The Momma is the chef and damn can this women cook, mains are priced from around $15 - $24. Highly recomend the Veal Parma and the chicken in four cheese sauce. BYO also.
Belmontes - Baulkham Hills, around the corner from Blockbuster Video
Excellent old stylee cooked Pizza's, reasonably priced and B.Y.O.
Jiminas (??) - Baulkham Hills, Old Northern Road
Mexican Resteraunt, best damn BBQ spare ribs I have ever eaten.
Agree with the Crows Nest Ogalo, best Potugese Chicken burgers I have ever tasted....
Cafewise my new fave is Taste Away on Crown St- the nicest, freshest food, a lovely little courtyard out the back and gorgeous camp waiters who give you free cake when they get your order wrong.
Perennial fave is Delectica on Victoria St in Potts Point- the raisin french toast with orange ricotta is about as much sugar as a girl can handle on a stoned sunday morning.
Billy Kwongs is also great, although the queuing is a pain in the arse...as is Tabou, order the steak frites for the bestest french bistro take on steak n chips... classy dining for the classless.
Sadly I can't afford to eat out much these days... anyone wanna take me out to dinner?

Anyone been to the Mixing Pot in Glebe? does it live up to its rep?
DON'T go to Level 41 (went there for work Chrissy party). The coke was watery, duck confit to clear the palette was yum, but the vegy component of my dish was too salty to eat & the lemon tart disgustingly bitter. VERY poor form on the food front. Only go there for a work Chrissy like I did.
Cafe Sydney can be good (went with work again), but the duck was incredibly tough - most embarrassing to cut, shaking the table, spilling drinks.
Really want to go to the Park Hyatt again for afternoon tea - skip lunch and gorge on their assorted array of petit-pour smorgasbord. Ooh la la!
Lou Jack's @Newtown is one of my fav cafes.
There chicken pesto pasta and banana smoothies are to die for
:p :p :p :p
