Very interesting read, thanks.
Particularly agreed with :
"Because it (techno) is infinitely interpretable and not locked into a definitive or determined form, techno leads us to reconsider and rethink the notion of a work within the horizons of mobile, moving, and nomadic forms no longer meant to be conceived as a closure of that work, but as a field of experiences and possibilities"

was wondering when someone would read it!
was worried for a second that we were all a bit one dimensional + shallow here... thanks for restoring my faith stasis!

Errr.. after reading that I still don't like techno...
Actually it proves my theory that people are far too anal about techno and making everyone else 'see the light' about this 'intelligent' musical form.

Don't you think you're being a bit anal with that response ?
Don't think the article was written in a persuasive tone, and by the author trying to prove that there is actually some thought that goes into producing Techno, could only be a positive ?
;)

the article wasn't using the term "techno" in the strictest sense. the term was being used to encompass all the electronic dance genres and "hybrid forms".
if you had read and understood the article you should have known this.
