I did a search, came up with nothing so Im asking..

is there any way to Dezone a PS2 to play international/non region4 DVDs?

I want to do it under these conditions:

1) Fucking of PS2 is not allowed, I still want it to work.
2) I want to avoid opening the box up
3) I still want to be able to use my Sony DVD remote (the Genuine PS2 remote)
4) Be nice if the warranty is still valid.

Any ideas?

there are region free cd's you can buy/copy that do this, you may need to have your ps2 chipped to use them though...

try the ps2 forum at http://www.cdrom-guide.com

My mate picked up one of those CD's recently in an attempt to make his PS2 multiregion... and thats all it was, an attempt.

He has now given up.

Not sure where he got the CD from, all i know is it didn't work!

Any idea what the CD was called?

Did it fuck things up, or did it just not work?

Yeah I've seen CD's sold at Harvey Norman that make this claim to fame. Don't know anyone that has tried though so can't vouch for them.

I think they retail for about $40 and from memory they are called Multi Region X or something like that...

Seen them at supacentre harvey norman at moore park but I'd assume they're in all of em...
