tape to cd

hi all
i live in a remote area of OZ, and i have recorded some music to a cassette tape. i would like to copy it to a cd, so i can send it over the net to my family in Vic. I haven't got much tech/hardware out here, so does anyone know of a website/company that can transfer my sounds to a cd?
any help would be appreciated.

ya don't need a cd to send over the net have u got a soundcard in ur computer ?
record the tape straight into the computer and then convert the audio to mp3 and then send it :)

i didn't think i could hook my stery-ereo into my HarDrive...do i need some special software to transfer the data from cassette to mp3?
forgive my dorkiness, but i'm a bit of a gumby at tech stuff.

have a look at the back of ur computer is there some little sockets with line in/ line out on them? or coloured sockets to hold one of those mini jacks? plug ur stereo into one of these holes, i think windows comes with a wave recorder ,press record on the wave recorder and then play on ur stereo and presto you have the songs on ur harddrive and winamp i think will convert audio to mp3 :)
