View Full Version : 'Out there and back" Track 02 Pikes, subliminal Paul van Dyk
Since i have received so many calls for the subliminal contents, i have decided to publish it here, for those that are too lazy to find the other places on the net where i have written this.
The artist is german electronica composer Paul van Dyk
The album is "Out there and back", about his trip to Australia in late 1999 or early 2000. He didn't tell me who he was, so i cannot recall the exact date.
There are a lot of themes on the album, but the main one is the relationship with his wife Natascha, and how this is tested with his meeting with a young australian man he meets at Sublime on pitt st, who he calls "Laurie B".
While my name is Laurie, but Pvd is the only one who has called me Laurie B, and that is the name of his fictional character, who he meets in track 2 Pikes, then goes on to have sex and drugs with in later tracks. It all comes to a climax in track 6, Tell Me Why - the Riddle - which is a fight with Natascha. I do not intend to publish the subliminal content of the entire album, there is simply too much.
This is a fictional story that he tells, and i can barely remember meeting him.

or if you are in the habit of scamming files from audiogalaxy or similar, that is another otion. Since Pvd stole my identity to create his fictional character, i do not really mind if you steal this track from him. Track 2 Pikes, length 6min 55sec.
The subliminals start right from the opening second.
"I met this kid called Laurie B, I want to take him home with me"
"I met this dude called Laurie B, I want to take him home with me"
notice how the syllables "Laurie B" are a bit more scratchy than the others, but you can still hear them. A sound engineer told me this was white noise. putting white noise over the top of recorded speech or singing creates the subliminal.
These two lines are repeated 4 times before the 30 second drum marker. Then they are repeated several more times, with drums over the top.
Then, at 59 seconds, the song changes, and so does the subliminal
I will pause here, to let you catch up.
Have a listen. You will not pick them up the first time, but you will hear something.

I don't hear anything...a lot of ppl don't hear anything...you are the only one hearing these things....apart from the few other dim wits out there that you have mentioned as being able to hear aswell...I reckon all of you are on the same type of drug.
what you are trying to say is that PVD fell in love with you that he had sex and drugs with you and that is Natasha is pissed off about it

I listen to PvD, and love his work - however i cannot hear these subliminal messages that you seem to be able to hear...
i would ask you however that if you didn't know that you had actually met PvD at the time? How are you so sure that this subliminal message is about you now then? And i must admit if you are such a PvD fan, i would be even more suprised that you didn't recognise him...

I am not going to list this here until we have this basic aknowledgement.
I am reluctant to provide more information about pvd, because it raises more questions than it answers, and you may find out more about him than you wanted to know. he made a mistake in creating a fictional character based on a real person.
I have no reason to convince you of anything. It matters not to me. If however you wish to find out more about paul van dyk's work, then i can help you.

Hell, he's only one of the biggest DJ's in the world so i can see how you didn't realise who he was...

BB, in late 1999 or early 2000, when he found me at voodoo, PvD was virtually unknown in Australia.
Sure, we knew his greatest hit "For An Angel" and some of us had even purchased his ipmort 3 CD set "Vorsprung Dyk Technic" $69, but it sounded a bit English to me - it had a track on it "voices from Germany" - i guessed that he was english.
When this freak stalked me around sublime for two nights, and to D-Tox, i did not know who he was.
He had not visited australia since his first trip 1 or 2 years ago.
Not even the door staff @ sublime pitt st recognised him, and he slipped in unrecognised.
They were pretty cluey doorstaff, and would even ask me "where have you been" if i missed a up.week to swim across lake macquarie or from palm beach to whale beach.
i wish the new sublime was as personal and friendly.
I just thought he was some freaky foreign poof in black clothing with a wierd german accent and pocket mimicking action.
I did not know that he had come to Australia in search of "punky brewster" as featured on Nik Fish album "Berlin" - for the extremely stupid people that seem to inhabit ITM, berlin is the capital of germany, and every german DJ would have picked u an album called "Berlin" and have heard the english language subliminals from nik fish about "punky brewster". even bexta has put those tracks on her albums.
I have explained all of this story in my posting "DO you like Paul van Dyk" in January 2001 on the explizit mastermind pvd mailing list archive.

Since when do you have the right to slag people who haven't even contributed to this pathetic thread of yours (ie twoup) and make claims about Paul van Dyk's work without solid evidence? I consider myself intelligent enough to be able to pick up subliminals from music. I have also had musical tuition (like many people)... I have also owned a copy of this album since a pre release promo hit my decks in May 2000... I don't hear the things you say exist.
You say Mr van Dyk "stalked" you in late 99 or early 00... something like that you would remember every detail of. So, let's 'ave it. Let's see some dates, times, some hard evidence that he is what you say he is. Because unless you can come up with more than "listen at this point. See? See?" no one is going to take you seriously.
I don't think anyone is taking you seriously anyway. Apart from Andre considering banning you. Good luck convincing the world that one of the most adored and respected DJs and producers it has ever seen is anything but what he is: a great musician and f**king brilliant DJ!

Out of sheer curiosity, I fired off an email, and I have had confirmed by Paul van Dyk's management that at no time between September 1999 and March 2000 was he in Australia for any reason.
Full Stop.
And being a PvD fan meself, it kind of pisses me off that there are ringnuts like this.
