When Stephen Allkins played at “the deep the dark the disco” and “Come to Daddy” they were some of the biggest nights ever at Minke. Stephen’s return is eagerly awaited after the recent release of his love] tattoo album, featuring the hit single "Bass Has Got Me Movin" as well as Loves Theme, Drop Some Drums.
An icon of Australian dance, Stephen Allkins was a pioneer of the Sydney club scene, and recently received the award for “Outstanding Contribution to Dance music” at the 2001 Australian Dance Music Awards. Stephen has played at some of the largest parties and superclubs here in Australia and overseas in the 20 years he has been Dj’ing.
Music is Life gives you more from the top shelf with DJ’s Rory (Floppy Jaloppy, Babylon Taxi)& Dr Wah-Wah (The Garage, Afrodisia) Visuals by Kristian Thomas (pseudo sound project) and out-there performances by Stickerman and Neutron Poober Boober.
