View Full Version : What type of ppl go to house solutions?
i read in magazines and other sources that house solutions is for the 20's to 30's crowd. I was planning to go NYE even though i havnt gone to the past house solutions these past months. It sounds gay and posh.....is it?
I was going to go because Bob sinclar and spiller was playing, but they pulled out.
Is it worth going? what type of crowd is it?
Well i'm sure it's not a *gay* crowd as such ... in that it is predominantly or exclusively gay.

as a new years event it should be pretty good... i think bob sinclair/spiller/superfunk would have drawn a pretty good crowd. Apparently the crowd to date has been very advertising agency/modelling agency/anything agency ish... and it has been alocohol and coke oriented rather than e and speed oriented.
But for new years... you're down by the water... you have a great view of the fireworks... it is indoor/outdoor so if it's sunny... great... if it's raining... great. It's not too large (ie the size of mobile home).
But without spiller and bob sinclair who will be the replacements... given thesort of music they have if they're going to have high profile replacements it would need to be the likes of dimitri/bent/kinobe/air/norman jay/david morales/danny rampling... but let's see.
Anyway it's mobile home for me as i can't give Sasha a miss... i think Pete Tong will play great music (even if his skills are non-existant) and the live acts (especially pocket) are great... oh and Jules Beaumont is my fave aussie dj.
if you're into the music, then the crowd shouldn't bother you...
Usually true, because if you are into the music and the rest of the people there are as well there is a common bond...but the crowd can make a difference, you can get aggro or uppity crowds
its want be david morales as he will dj at scotland on new years
What type of crowd????
People that love funky house music!
yanos,
definately not gay & old. despite previous h.s parties being written off on this site, i've only ever had a great time there.
the crowd is not your average 18yo 101 gatecrasher glowstick-waving-vicks inahling punters.
if you're into funky house in a great venue, get yourself along.
ignore all the b.s about it being pretentious & glam. i would not go to a party that is purely like that.
you should give this saturday night a go.
cheers,
drew.
drew, what did i tell you about drinking too much coffee?!?! go to bed!
and that is an order
love mum :)
I agree with you liley. But in this case the crowd is important.. you gotta know who you're going to deal with when it comes to a new club. Like you can't just expect to wear anything and think that you can get past the door bitch/bouncer.
Im strongly into my music however last year at mobile home the crowd as an issue. Crowds can be an issue.
