Lets hope GC don't spoil it :)
He is too nasty for general consumption.

What a load of absolute shite. Half of these tracks were on the last fucking GC. To me Anthems = sold out. It is the dance equivalent of Rocks "greatest hits" - a lame excuse to reap $$$ without breaking any new ground. What a sellout. Most of these songs WERE good/awesome......the first 500,000 times I heard them! Now they make me physically sick. Tocas miracle???...**sigh**. That line-up reeks of Wild FM.

For those who want to hear quality tunes in a Sandstorm/time to burn free zone, try John '00' Flemings "for your ears only". With the exception of about four tracks (out of about 25) the mix is very refreshing.

I was going to add that to my original post, but then I thought I'd gather some other people's thoughts.
The Gatecrasher series (to me at least) has always been a fairly cutting edge series, with the exception of a few tracks I knew, they were always filled with tracks which later became huge over here. Unlike the Ministry CDs which I tend to feel just take the tracks which are big and make a CD to get more $$$.
This CD appears more of a recollection of a year gone by, and I was disappointed by the look of it (though disc 2 might have some promise, disc 1 looks crap).
Hopefully 'crasher aren't gonna start pumping out CD's with nothin new on them, cause I have really enjoyed the first 5.

Have to agree with you @ustin about the John Fleming CD, "it was really good!"

I was gonna say, the tracklisting here fits more to a MoS compilation than a gatecrasher one for sure... strange...

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that:)

Im glad that many agree that there is tunes here that dont belong on a GC compilation, seems that this is just a sell out for quick cash for em. Disapointing really as GC Disco Tech was excellent and then recently came Global Sound System which people though came out too quickly after Disco Tech and that it was getting more commercial, and had much more vocal tunes.
This one here yes does seem more like a MOS comp.
Fatboy Slim, Chicane with Bryan Adams, Fragma? I dont hate the tunes but they dont seem right on GC.
Still some excellent tunes there still like from Thrillseekers, Sander Kleinenberg, Van Dyk, Timo Maas, Push, Dumonde, Armin and others.

Well it looks like now that they might spoil it. With GC's apparently new music policy that is with the style of Timo, he is gonna be one of the headliners at GC plus his tunes will start popping up everywhere for general consumption.

Yes,

Very yukky! Maybe they just were huge hits at GC. Dont know how the @!#$ bird of prey got on it. That's very off track to the music they mainly play. Maybe they put that song last so people leave the club in the mornings quickly. Tocas miracle?? We all know who is responsible for overkill of that track in the club.... hint hint some Dj that has relations to Angelic.

I dont even believe it's good enough to be MOS quailty.. more like WILD FM.

yeah, it is big in the UK, I think Pete Tong loves it and plays it a fair bit.
It was remixed recently, and I seem to remember thinking the remix isn't all that bad, but I can't remember it.
Good for yothu yindi!

Unfortunately no Nick Skitz or Alex K megamix is mentioned on the track listing (perhaps a bonus disc?)

Oakie actually uses a youthu yindi track in a JourneysByDJs mixed CD of about 6 years ago ......

hmm ok... i didnt know, never heard any remixes of their work, and i thought the originals were a little to rock-ish for gatecrasher...
then again, when i was there guy ornadel played acdc's 21 gun salute... so maybe

What a huge gap in time this CD has - Universal Nation was on Seb Fontaine's first Prototype CD and probably on many before that !!!! Tomorrow ????!!!!!!
Freefall ?! Anthony Pappa won't play this as even he thinks it's had it fair share of play ! (he told me himself) @ Sydney GC.
Aswell as this, although Sander Kleinenberg has a residency at GC, My Lexicon deserves better credit than being cut short and crammed into this CD.

New Sounds Please !!
P.S. Please don't ruin Timo's sound by thrashing every track of his to death.

I just checked it out the GC site and it seems you didnt mention the remix names of some of them tunes. Here are some I found interesting to mention.
Fatboy Slim - Bird of Prey = Darren Emerson Remix (I guess now I can understand why its on there)
ATFC - Bad Habit = Armin Van Buuren Gimmick Dub
Chicane Featuring Bryan Adams - Dont Give Up = Disco Citizens Version
Angelic - Its My Turn = Ariel Remix
Moloko - The Time Is Now = Matt Darey Vocal Edit Mix
Yothu Yindi - Treaty = Peace Division Remix
DJ Dan - That Zipper Track = Carl Cox Mix

Go to the www.gatecrasher.com to see full listings.

Liley, Timo Mass has been big for 12 months! He's not a "next big thing" at all.

Karma Luna - Treaty was a massive UK anthem back when it was originally released and has been remixed by Peace Division amongst others and is yet again getting turntable time.
