Ok, lately I have been watching these forums, and I hate to say it but everyone minus a select few here really are dickheads. I have some advice for you all, WAKE UP TO YOURSELVES!!!! Get yourself a life, stop starting rumours: "this dj overdosed", this dj's "drug fucked" this dj's in hospital. Why go on with the crap? Stop starting @!#$ about peolple who love what they do and are good at it! Ever heard of the tall poppy syndrome? A few of you have to get over it. I admit that there are some great forum topics full of decent people, but a majority of this stuff is total crap. I'm talking about the people who have different identities every time they write, are "too cool" to answer peoples questions, and just want to start @!#$. These are obviously the people who have no time to do anything better. To sum it all up, GROW UP ALL OF YOU!

While I know where you are coming from - it's wrong to label everyone who uses the forum due to the acts of the few.

The posts you mention in yours were all done by 1 person.. That's 1 single person. Sure, everyone jumped in an replied (mostly to say what a wanker the poster must be) but that's not a crime.

We'll be solving the 'identity' issue soon - that will resolve a lot of the 'fake posting' problems. Until this happens, it's up to the forum users to ensure the forum continues to be an interesting and thought provoking place, by posting well though out messages.

Calm down man, you're going a bit over the top. The posts about Dj's as DJDREY said were by the same person and most of the time its good discussions/topics. In the brackets next to email address means internet connection so if its the same doesn't mean same person. Other people might use Global Freeway or OLC etc.

From recollection the forums changed.

There was an early version.

Drey probably created that particular account at that time but was here before that.

July 2001 isn't my earliest log in either. I think I joined around February originally under a different log in and forums had existed for a while before that.

Originally, you didn't need to register - you just entered your "name" into a field. That's why the same person could easily post stuff under lots of different names. (Or people could post stuff under the name someone else usually used.) Not something that lasts that long...

In February 2001 the forums were upgraded and you were required to register and log-in to post. People's "member since" dates stem from the date they registered. However, if there were previous posts under the same username (as for djdrey), they were counted towards their count and come up as posts by that member (even they were before the user became a "member"). And some names used before this point were never registered (hence the funny details for caz).

I didn't realise that about the early ITM days.
I always though that the day Drey joined, being member number 1 was when the forums on ITM started.

The point is that his registered date does not discern that date of origin of his persona, or the website itself.

Websites have birthing periods. I wouldn't take his current online persona as date of origin. He was prolly just drey or even if he was djdrey he just updated his info and set everything as of the date of that upgrade as previous to that it was a fairly prototype version. The people who still seemed to have basic logins prolly never upgraaded their info.

Anyway... happy seven plus years ITM.

I said forums, not website, i did acknowledge they were separate.

And there are some bugs around, which change dates, so i believed that was what happened. However i have now been educated otherwise.

we should create like, a 'most definitive moments of itm' thread or something. dedicated to all the really cool people and the total nutcases who used to frequent this place and make days at work so much more interesting than they are today- the majority of whom have just disappeared off the face of the planet (seemingly).

Yes that was for ITM, as i said, i didn't realise there was Forums from then too. Member number 1 has "Member Since: February 15th, 2001" so it is an easy mistake to make
