Agreed but they're all too stoned to get their lips off the Irie Pipe.........

Maybe they should start disscussin herb n hydro set ups and they will prolly boom in a couple of months just a suggestion............

Or start bitchin about everyone and their private bizzness on here, their good at that.................

Put the pipe down and get active............. fugg you might even realize there is a Real Life out there beyond ya bowl n cone !

CandlestickMakr us get a real life hey?well do you ever think that the reason why not to many people post here is because the net isnt there life and they are actually out doing things unlike you who always seems to be on line so i dont think you should be telling anyone to get a life mate..@!#$ you may even realise there is a real life out there beyond ya internet....

Hedi I agree that a net forum is hardly the benchmark to Judge a city's vibe in dance music stakes but I have to agree that there is @!#$ all activity in the Adelaide Forum and the biggest posts were just bitch posts al la " I can play harder and faster than you...what makes you think your so underground?"

Adelaide has lot going for it (I moved here from Sydney) and the beauty of the net is that others not in Adelaide can get a glimpse of whats happening and then they might want to check out our DJ's and acts and not bag us city of [inset cliche here] (churches/mass murders/stoners)

Just compare our venue situation with Sydney.... in recent months we have had a number of new venues opening that gives people choice and dj's,performers and promoters more opportunities whilst Sydney has had a number of its venues closed under threat affter police raids with sniffer dogs.

drwahwah i also agree with what you have said but it is hardley Adelaide's fault if people arent posting on here ..All that bitching has pretty much stopped now by the looks of it anyway.Oddy is always posting up coming events which is good i think thats what this place needs more people advertising events and then people like myself who arent dj's or promoters to give a little review on what the events were like...

Thanks Hiedi
so can you give us a brief review of the last party you went to or parties are you looking forward to?

Heidi
24-Oct-01, 04:20pm
ok no problems ...
Last thing i went to was system 6 on the 20th of October must say i had a blast..
John langford (UK) was excellent played a stomping set and everyone was loving it
DJ Mantis also played an awesome set but the highlight of everyones night i think was odyssey vs MR S it rocked what more can i say.I went to the recovery at breakers which kinda ended short due to a black out about an hour and a half into it but it didnt stop anyone cause we all sat out the front on the grass while someone parked there car right out the front and played a cd of oddy (i think) and this went on for about 2 hours till the power finally came on ..I stayed outside for a bit longer then when i went back in H-Bomb was playing some flat out harcore it was good. All in all i had a fantastic night/morning ...
Some things im looking foward to in the next couple of months is Ultraworld on the 10th of november,System 6 on the 17th of November and then ofcourse Enchanted which will be my first outdoor rave so im rather excited about that...

Adelaide has a mailing list called AdRave. This supports most of the activitiy. This list started in around 94 when there was too much Adelaide based traffic on AusRave. Hence, Adelaide broke away and formed it's own.

Shif-T,
you're probably the reason Adelaidians don't post here.
Most post on friendlier sites like
www.thescene.com.au/forum
or www.system6.doof.org/ikonboard

There is too much arrogance on this board from Sydney members....
Get over yaselves!!

Heidy

I have met alot of them out and about at systo meet-ups and i found them to all be so nice,so girle im not sure what you find so unfriendly about it.

why cause we dont spend all day posting on in the mix?Maybe we are all out enjoying our scene instead of coming to a message board worrying about how many posts another state has sheesh guys are you really being that pathetic?

MrToastE
24-Dec-01, 12:41am
Wasted, i bet you've never been to Adelaide, you're probably basing all of that on what other twats have said!!

Either way, Adelaide has a scene which is cheap, there are plenty of great parties (many outdoor), less cheese than Sydney, and we have clean beaches!

but i'm not going to get into an argument with you, because yes, your scene is bigger (always will be, you have a higher population)...but ours is just as diverse.... :)

Anyways, if anyone wants to post on an up'n'coming forum, where ppl respect your views, everyone gets along, and no-one interfere's dissing your city, come to thescene, at www.thescene.com.au/forum

This is the weirdest thread. I think it started out as a genuine attempt to get the adelaide forum moving a bit quicker, but it didn't take long before it turned into a weird slangin match about Sydney vs Adelaide.

As a melbourne boy who has lived in Sydney and visited Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and loads of other cities in Australia, it always amazes me how we all get defensive about ow other people see our beloved home town.

I can't tell you the number of times i wanted to KILL sydney siders for their attitude towards Melbourne and other cities in Australia. I don't think I was ever a staunch Sydney hater until I lived there and had to put up with the arrogance of sydneysiders. But getting involved in this sort of argument always ends up making you look like a parochial twat.

I don't really know what my point is here, but I just wanted to share the frustration of a few of the people who have posted in this thread!

Bring on a harmonious, busy, adelaide ITM forum!

matt :-)

Hmmm.... the problem with the Adelaide forum is that they are already arguing on Adrave... they don't need another place to do it :)

All good things come to those who WAIT...

haha i love the way the most prolific poster in this forum seems to be spending most of hs time trying to convince people to abandon ITM in favour of thescene...

MrToastE, methinks thou dost complaineth too much. the forum is what YOU make it. ITM did a great thing in expanding to other cities, but its up to you guys, the members, what it becomes. negative crap like that is not going to help anyone.
