Bad Boys II - oh my GOD!!

Yeah, I know this is probably going to be moved to the movie forum, but I just wanted to spread the word across Sydney about Bad Boys II, which I saw last night.

Holy shit, it is without doubt THE most over-the-top, hardcore, ultra-violent, sickest, most unneccessarily obscene movie ever made! And thoroughly bloody entertaining for it! There's none of this wimping out when someone's shot bullshit - there's bullets popping necks, bodies flying through the air, severed limbs, decapitations, brains, kidneys, corpses, the biggest explosions ever, insane car chases that - as Will Smith says - "puckered my asshole" and make Matrix Reloaded's look positively pathetic, gratuitous slaughter everywhere, a fucking nonsense story, bonkers camerawork, tons of racial stereotypes, gay jokes, drug use, loads of swearing, the LOT!

The most shocking movie I've seen EVER! It makes Beverly Hills Cop and Lethal Weapon look like Police Academy 5: Assignment Miami Beach and Police Academy 7: Mission To Moscow. Go see it now! Unless you're a girl.

On topic - I went to see Bad Boys II with my girlfriend the first day it came out and we both thoroughly enjoyed it..Loads of action, plenty of funnies and some good stunts. I especially liked the dude who was ODing in that Russian guys club, and they just threw his ass into the street!! Nasty...And how was Martin Lawrence when he accidentally swallowed those 2 bikkies and started sniffing his bosses hair and shit!! Classic! Well worth $10 to go see on the big screen...But definitely not for tight ass anal types who just have to pick every little thing to pieces ;)

Bay Boys the original was a completely annoying movie. Will Smith was alright, but the other dude was a whinging, unfunny, boring, anal, prick.

He just dragged the whole movie down.

But if you want to see the most shockingly nonsensical, spectacularly violent, and mind-blowingly offensive movie in ages, go see it!

C'mon... Will Smith gets together a renegade gang of fucking SWAT agents and some CIA spies and invades fucking Cuba, for God's sake! It's ridiculous! :lol:

Bad Boys II has none of the intelligence and irony of Starship Troopers - it's all-out bullshit all the way! And fucking great for it!

Funky Dunk, the book Starship troopers was intelligent. The movie is fun to watch for explosions and giant bugs but was one of the worst adaptions of all time. :|

Okay... fun explosions, fun giant bugs, fun bodies exploding... and a little bit of intelligent satire kinda hidden away in there somewhere.

But Will Smith and Martin Lawrence jumping out of a coffin with machine-guns blowing the crap out of anything that moves while agents burst out of the lawn and bazooka a building while a remote-controlled car explodes and sends 6 fucking marines' corpses bouncing around the place at the SAME TIME, without even a hint of morals or intelligence or irony is far better! :lol:

It sucked & it blew at the same time, what a massive piece of pro-yank tripe. So is taking ecstacy deadly or good for a laugh? I guess it depends on the plot. Nice bit of PR for Guantanamo Bay too, lets forget all about Camp X-Ray. And a police chief who's cranky all the time! Didn't see that one coming!

I thought it was alright up until the last half hour, at which point it just went completely ridiculous. It was remotely possible up to that point but then it just went stupid. And EgonSpengler said the e just seemed to be used as a plot device: deadly and evil one second, a gag the next.

Having said that the firefights are magnificent, punchy and visceral. And the 575M! Fantastic.

i saw on netertainment tonight how they filmed the car chase scenes. None of them were computer generated unlike most films. They set up this car with like full roll bars from the bonnet in the shape of a big triangle as the cars were dropped off the back of the semi this car loaded with cameras would basically run straight into them spiralling them over the car Will Smith was driving, which incidentally was the directors actual car. Looked very very cool how they did it and they trashed something like 60-70 cars in on scene! ;)

Yeah i watched this on DVD on the weekend, wow is all i can say !! So much of a differance from the first Bad Boys to the second one.... very impressed !!!!!

Got Tomb Raider 2 to watch tonight as well hahaha ;D
