To all those that know me, just to say that my flight to England via Seoul was fantastic. I am now in Manchester it is approx. 4 degrees and I'm freezing. I can't sleep at all... the jet lag has definitely set in.
The ex fiance is ace and its all bliss for the moment.
Not much else to say but that I am safe and it's out to the the City shopping soon and meeting the 4clubbers.net crew as usual. Yey for clubbers on the internet.
Laura x
stick around another week and there will be the big Manchester Derby game at Old Trafford! city vs united!
Go to Tribal Sessions @ Sankys... it is awesome. 8-)

Got a job for ya luv, hope I'm not imposing... If I could get you to go down the local hardware and equip yourself with a nice weighty crowbar, a nice comfortable one with good balance... Next go buy a bus ticket to Newcastle, track down an apparently unassuming strapping young local lad named Jonathon Wilkinson, you'll undoubtedly find him in front of a pair of goalposts somewhere wiling away the hours...
Now I'm not suggesting anything untoward here bananamonkey (may I call you Laura?) that would be beyond a good sport like myself... But Laura SHOULD the sight of our world cup destroyer methodically reliving his glorious moment stir any patriotic vengeful fervour inside you and the crowbar find itself inexplicably in your hand I just want to remind you that he is a natural left-footer and (I'm hoping you're right-handed here) your tennis forehand REALLY could do with some work... :p :p
Give him my best of course, wish him well and you have a good time in the homelands yourself. Happy travels! :) :)
MCK
Any implication that I advocate violence is purely your over-active imagination and I am CERTAINLY not still hurting about the Wilkinson led desecration of all that is right and good about rugby (AKA the Wallabies)... I'm over it... Haven't given it a second thought... No REALLY!

Hehe! I would but I'm not going up to the Newcastle Scum (no offence intended) but I love the idea. Any other ideas without actually having to be in Georgie land?! :p

I thought you were a Pom Bananamonkey - nonetheless any crowbar-inspired violence that happens to come Mr Wilkinson's way will of course be karma for the shoddy treatment of our beloved Wallabies at his (rather skillful) hands
Are you in England for good BM or will you be making a return to Oz?

Manchester: A thriving metropolis of around 420, 000 (About half of Adelaide!), about 50% of which are in the nick on car-theft charges.
The rest are single mums, working part-time at Tesco's.
Is Hacienda or Factory 51 still there?
The hac is now trendy apartments:(

I will be returning just after NY, so you havent seen the last of me at all.
In regards to me being a pom, I was born an aussie but moved to UK when I was young and have only spent the last 15mths back in Oz so it isn't so familiar but I was told to sport the borth team in the final.... and so I did. I even left my England shirt in the cupboard on the day after the winning for the red and white. Now that's proud!?

I won free tickets to the Hacienda by calling up the radio station and telling a crap joke!
Wasn't as exciting as I hoped it would be. If I recall correctly I went with a few Irish lasses. (back in 1995)

The pool party sucked arse, so I took a piss in the deep end, just 'cos I'm an arsehole. I should have kicked on at the RSL.
I tell you what though, I wouldnt mind some of that crisp Northern winter in my bedroom tonight, today was a fucking stinker! Apparently, its going to be worse tomorrow...
Also, dont forget to grab a couple of cans of Manchester's finest, Boddingtons Ale, brewed by protestant monks living in caves along the Pennines.

That's if I drunk beer. I really don't have the taste for it. Only when I am drunk and then I can't appreciate the various brands of piss/vinegar tasting fizz... I am a girl, what can be said!?
Went to Salford Uni yday, pretty okay - Union was cheap and I had a traditional SnakeBite - Beer with Blackcurrant cordial (somehow you cant taste the beer before someone comments). Also went and watched the Man U game in Canal Street.
Off to the Imperial War Muesuem and all you can eat Asian in Deansgate today.
Can't wait for Sheffield this weekend and Waterworld in Stoke on Monday; Childhood memories anyone!?

Manchester, so much to answer for.......... this is what I think of every time someone mentions Manchester................. Suffer little children - by The Smiths.
Over the moor, take me to the moor
Dig a shallow grave
And I'll lay me down
Over the moor, take me to the moor
Dig a shallow grave
And I'll lay me down
Lesley-Anne, with your pretty white beads
Oh John, you'll never be a man
And you'll never see your home again
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for
Edward, see those alluring lights ?
Tonight will be your very last night
A woman said : "I know my son is dead
I'll never rest my hands on his sacred head"
Hindley wakes and Hindley says :
Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, and says :
"Oh, wherever he has gone, I have gone"
But fresh lilaced moorland fields
Cannot hide the stolid stench of death
Fresh lilaced moorland fields
Cannot hide the stolid stench of death
Hindley wakes and says :
Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, Hindley wakes, and says :
"Oh, whatever he has done, I have done"
But this is no easy ride
For a child cries :
"Oh, find me ... find me, nothing more
We are on a sullen misty moor
We may be dead and we may be gone
But we will be, we will be, we will be, right by your side
Until the day you die
This is no easy ride
We will haunt you when you laugh
Yes, you could say we're a team
You might sleep
You might sleep
You might sleep
BUT YOU WILL NEVER DREAM !
Oh, you might sleep
BUT YOU WILL NEVER DREAM !
You might sleep
BUT YOU WILL NEVER DREAM !"
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for
Oh Manchester, so much to answer for
Oh, find me, find me !
Find me !
I'll haunt you when you laugh
Oh, I'll haunt you when you laugh
You might sleep
BUT YOU WILL NEVER DREAM !
Oh ...
Over the moors, I'm on the moor
Oh, over the moor
Oh, the child is on the moor
How come no one writes songs about child murders anymore??

I had a mate from Norwich who got me onto Snakebites. Except he used half lager, half Strongbow, and Grenadine.
It tasted like ball-sweat, and I looked like a poof holding this fizzy red glass, so I didnt dare have another.

I think Vodafone is writing a catchy little jingle about those two girls that were abducted and murdered in England last year.

I'm back and I am suffering Jet Lag. I really couldn't manage sleeping on the plane and I have now been up since 3am!
I had the best NY - AvB at Godskitchen, Air in Birmingham. I even spoke to the God and told him he should be that good when he gets to Sydney.
He played U2's New Year at teh countdown and got the countdown in the song to the second. It's all good!
Nice to be home but rather strange experiencing the heat again.
