Howdy folks,
It's the weekend, it could be any night of the week for some (lucky pricks). But your goin out, and it's gunna be PHAT! Your in your room, wet towel around you. And it's GLAM time! Watcha gunna wear? Whats gunna give you that inspiration for that ultimate getup? Is it always one song?, a whole album? Do you just press shuffle? or is it the rush of greyhound racing comin live from Dapto? Tell us people, what do you listen too when you get ready?
thx, apc
ps: me, glad you asked, it's usally 'rollin & scratchin' by daft punk (can't wait for 'Discovery'!!!!!), but then again could be anything.

what do people listen to these days before going out??
i like to randomly choose an essential mix to kick start the night/weekend
Everyone seems to listen to tracks that pump them out... I listen to something to mellow me out a bit, kind of like the calm before the storm.
Contenders would be:
Push On Through - Salmonella Dub
Call to You - Trinity Roots
Basically anything with a fat bassline that I can grrove to
Mercury-Drinker

Depends where I'm off to. Don't think I could really pinpoint it.
A common pre-Racket CD is the DJ Kicks Playgroup mix but there's really no one piece of music that I'll listen to before a party. However it won't be Ed Rush and Optical before going out to a bar, nor would it be Mills' Waveform Vol 3 before going to a deep house party.

One of my favourite to really get you charging has to be Tom Stephan - These beats are. Track selection is impecable...
"up steady are u ready, c'mon" from wild wateva.
and wet wet wet - get ready ...
Nah, usually just music that I know i'm not gona hear that day/night - hard trance usually goes alright :P
