I had a cracking time seeing him at FFour earlier this year too actually, that was in January and after a big day at KMG. Explains why I forgot it

I am obviously bias... but that show was absolutely insane... :-D

I hate to sound like your stereotypical jaded clubber.. but most of the indoor events i have been to this year have sucked...

The formula has been basically - Make a nice flyer... Get an international... put them in club with same old line up... Come up with some lame press release calling it the party of the year (hey everyone is on drugs so who gives a shit!)...

So fucking boring... I miss seeing high quality decor and cool stage designs made with LOVE! Performers! Costumes

Andrez666 11-Dec-08 04:10pm

Son Of Zev @ More Bass on December 20 - and it hasn't even happened yet!!

I'm that confident it will be an absolute killer.

Rumor mill about this set has drifted right across the Pacific to Japan!!! Probably me doing so, but I'm a fan. Plus Pat Stormont, Zen Paradox, TR-Storm, Enclave, Isnod and Cuznmatt all live the same night... ye gods...

PLUS

Clarity ft Stuart McKeown @ Korova Milkbar (one of the most fun Clarity's ever!!)

Noticeably F A T 11-Dec-08 05:26pm

My full list;

- FMF feat. Sven Vath and Markus Schulz. Both sets were everything that I had hoped for and more!!! Vath went from funky to dark to dark and funky and back to funky again - so wish I could relive that set! Schulz meanwhile delivered a set that was very close to but still different from his Planet Love, Northern Ireland live EM. He closed out the set with the Alex M.O.R.P.H. remix of "Without You Near," thusly sending me into delirium!
- As if that wasn't enough, on the same day/night, Infected Mushroom played at Metro City. WOW!!! That was a musical experience that I shall never forget!
- Sean Tyas & Simon Patterson - Awesome sets and an awesome vibe. Bulldozer and One More Night Out must be heard out live on a good soundsystem for full effect!!
- Jade & Chris Su - got to hear a number of tunes that got me into the hard sound of D&B that night.
- Godskitchen 2008 - The best Gods in terms of production and the crowd and sets were not half bad either. JOC smashed it and Sander nailed it! Jon O'Bir and Menno were also solid.

Been fairly quiet this year.. but..

B.D.O... especially Rage Against The Machine and Dizzee Rascal...
More Bass..... every single one I went to... but especially the Birthday Party...

and this one will be on the list.. ...... largely to do with the reason for the party (the best compilations released this year)... and the fact that this is the only gig listed in this list that showcases purely local talent........ WTF is wrong with people... we have some of the best producers right here in Melbourne.. come out and support some of them here and other ones elsewhere....

MORE BASS IF? Records: 13 Years of IF? Z-13.1/Z-13.2 CD Launch Mega Rave

By the way .. thanks Andrez... but I'm sure I'll be outdone by most of the other artists on the night... been waiting to see TR-storm again for a decade........
Zen Paradox is the godfather of Melbourne Live techno....
Enclave is going to have the WOW factor with some strange Nintendo gadgets...
Isnod is some sort of crazy genious.
Pat Stormont .. is another prodigy who will take over the world..
and cuzznmatt threatens to blow the bloody doors off....

I might just throw some acid over the place to add to the mix... and splice in some of my heroes to the set (Little Nobody, Dj_HiShock, Bitch Shift and the best producer of 2008 DJ Warp from Japan )

Man, what a line-up. Ye gods. Gig of the year, and I won't even be there - and more than likely better than anything I've seen here in Tokyo in the past 12 months.

Melbourne-made.

YUM.
