The new Luke Abbott album is delightful... I don't really get all the talk of minimal either - BC had a minimal influence but it's on the fringes of that scene. More Kraut-influenced these days.

I've spent ages weighing up different options, but when it comes to buying it turns out that the only decent monitor I can find at any of the stores in Adelaide is the Adam A7. Not exactly spoiled...

The main riff is nice, but there's a percussion hit on the offbeats that doesn't sit, it sounds like a preset snare from a rock kit, and a lot of the sounds are poor in quality - what sorts of synths...

I'm gonna disagree, by all means spend big on mixing gear, studio equipment, and whatnot, but all you need from headphones is something that can go loud without turning into soup and something comfy....

Yeah I saw that one - it's a little pricey for sure, I'll see if anything cheaper comes up. It is limited, but editable to an extent, and looks like quite a lot of fun. Cheers for the advice :)
