Have fun!

And say no to drugs.

Unless you want them.

Then say yes.

Make sure you read everything by Mungo, Sammas and NewJack.

Then do the opposite.

If its called Alcoholics Anonymous, then why the HELL did they make me stand up and say who I was?!

Oh and Welcome, even though i dont post here much, quietly reading this forum is just as good... Along with getting severely tanked and yelling at posts on this forum when in the comfort of any local internet cafe, knowing full well that the people that posted *can't* actually hear what you are saying to them and then yelling obsenities at the shop owners that are stabbing you in the back with a broom or hitting you with empty cardboard boxes to get out of their "internet cafe" is also fun.

That could be cool. Though I'd probably embarass myself. I've only had my MnM for about a month and still haven't figured out how to use the flippin' arpeggiator.

Unless of course it was covered a while ago and you want current information. This would apply to most computer and software related queries.

Why? Then you just drag up a whole load of outdated crap. It's a messy idea. Best to start fresh and keep the forum well oiled, yes?

Well, yes and no. I mean if say there's a thread about some new Elektron product thats been planned for release soon and then 3 months later someone can bump it and go "ok its been released who's been using it?"

And of course "what turntables should I get" the answer never changes.

All you have to do is think about it for a second. Is the thread not too old to be outdated and would my post add a relevant question/information?

I'm all for keeping things fresh but if you want to know about the latest Vestax mixer you could probably just kick up the thread that was posted a couple of weeks ago about it.

I dig Phunk's realistic justification and it makes sense but im kind of with Dopamine on this. Most threads turn into mush after a while and the industry moves on quickly. Also if everyone just searched like Mungo whinges about then there would be no discussion. Imagine this in real life?

mate: hi
you: hi
mate: um. what havent we talked about?
you: erm.... fletcher munson curve?
mate: nah talked to death about that
you: what about the amazing 606 mods i can do but dont do?
mate: nah, talked about it.
you: erm.... lets go download pronz

Just use your judgement guys, I don't think it's rocket science to figure out if a thread should be bumped or not.

get involved with some internet radio stations or something of that ilk, that'll give you lots of practice and feedback and no-doubt the good-times will ensue. play out from the comfort of your own home haha. good for experience and such!
