Midi sync dropout in ableton...
Hi guys, I had a problem on the weekend where midi sync from laptiop to laptop kept dropping out. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. We were running live 6 and live 7. It would work for a while and then it would drop out saying "midi connection has been lost". Would it be something to do with CPU usage?

how many midi devives are you running with each laptop?

Some times when your running a few devices the midi data gets screwed and can cause drop outs.

You may have to invest in a midi interface

we were linking from 2 audio interfaces with midi I/O, either one as slave would drop out occasionally. Both M-audio... Fast track pro and Audiophile or something. I think it was happening under CPU load on my comp... Im not sure, I was too fucked up to figure it out!
